20. Is this Love?

I had a series of meetings to attend but I couldn’t concentrate. I kept thinking about Emily and how she looked in her red suit.

The thought of her face made me giggle until Jude finally advised me to end the meetings and head home. I was clearly distracted and he figured me out as he always does.

“Where’s Emily?” I asked Jude who was following behind me as usual.

“She’d be in her office. Her secretary informed me that she was working on some documents,” Jude replied.

“Then we’re going to her office. I’m done for the day. Reschedule the other meetings,” I said and we took the elevator to Emily’s office.

“Where’s my wife?” I asked her secretary who was preparing to leave.

“She left with Mr. Kay,” she replied.

“Which Mr. Kay? Why would she leave with any man?” I asked, my temper beginning to rise. Jude gestured to me and I kept myself in check.
