It was chaotic, a prisoner was brought to deliver but she escaped and everyone seems to be looking for her.

"Doctor, over there!" One of the nurses screamed, and police officers were running too.

"Where did she go?" One of the officers yelled.

"The rooftop, let's check there". Another officer said, almost shouting.

At the rooftop was a different issue, Monalisa stood heavily pregnant with blood streaming down through her thighs, she was panting, due to the excessive running in her condition.

She stood at the edge of the building, looking down from there with tears in her eyes as she hiccuped. She wasn't alone though.

A man was there before she arrived, he looked like one in his early twenties and he was fidgeting, saying all sorts of things to prevent her from jumping but Monalisa wasn't listening.

Shortly after, the police and some hospital personnels were already at the rooftop .

They dropped their guns, not wanting to scare her further.

"Please don't jump, think about your child" the man screamed out again.

Hearing this, Monalisa cried harder, setting one foot out, in the bid to jump.

"Mrs Monalisa, we can settle this. Please don't jump" Her doctor tried to convince her, as the police were trying to take slow steps to her.

"You all...stay away from me!"she yelled in tears.

"It's my life!! My life!!"

"Arghh!!!!!" She screamed loudly and it went dark.

FIFTEEN YEARS LATER

~NEW YORK CITY, MANHATTAN ~

[ELITE'S ESTATE]

It's a very fine morning with the sun shining brightly,the birds are chirping,while the wind moves with the trees in rhythm to the birds' songs.

It's summer and everything seems fine, except for the Jerkins's house, a magnificent mansion to behold.

It really explains that the owner is filthy rich, but from this house, loud crashing sounds could be heard.

It's like someone is having fun throwing tea cups around, but trust me...this is nothing close to 'FUN'.

"Oh gosh...not this daily routine again". Alora, daughter of Monalisa Jerkins groaned as her sleep got interrupted by one of Monalisa's morning dramas.

Still rubbing her sleepy eyes, she got off her bed and lazily walked to check what was going on downstairs

She got to the corridor of the stairs, stopped there and looked downstairs to see about nine maids, all with tea cups in their hands while Monalisa walked around in a bossy manner.

"Tasteless" Monalisa frowned at the first tea she tasted and threw the cup, the maid didn't make a sound, she just silently prayed that Monalisa should pass her.

"No milk...terrible", she said to the next maid and threw yet another cup of tea.

Alora rolled her eyes as her mom moved to the next maid.

"I'm sorry ma'am,you complained about too much milk yesterday that's why i made it like this" the maid tried to defend herself.

After saying this, there was silence for some seconds and the maid cursed herself inwardly for speaking up, she knew she was done for.

"Did you say something?" Monalisa asked as she started walking back to the girl.

Meanwhile, Alora bit her lips sadly and muttered softly, "Oh no...".

"I'm sorry ma'am, i misspoke" the maid shivered,

"You're sorry" Monalisa smirked and it made Alora suspicious, her mom isn't the type to forgive easily.

And as if Monalisa read her mind, she walked to the next maid and took her tea,

"hmm...nice" she complimented the tea and walked back to the other maid.

"See....she made my tea just how i like it....wanna taste?" she asked with a smirk but before the maid could reply, Monalisa had empty the whole content on the poor girl, this time around she didn't say anything but shiver

"You are fired" Monalisa said as she wiped her hands with a towel and just then, her driver came in immediately to take her bag, Joe is his name...the only person that has stayed with Mona for a long time, he's an elderly man in his late sixties.

"Mom you can't do that, you've fired more than twenty maids this week". Alora said but as usual, Monalisa acted like no one talked and just walked away.

Alora bit her lips sadly but it was expected. She only lives with her mom in the same house but they are practically living like strangers, she doesn't know why.

Monalisa got into her car, her right hand man --Blade was inside and the car drove off.

The maids immediately scurried off to different corners of the house, some cleaning the mess, some redesigning as long as you're not ideal because the second boss is around Alora.

She watched sadly as the maid her mom fired came out with her bags, she quickly ran to her.

"Please,you can stay, I’m sure my mum didn't mean it" she pleaded.

"Come on sweetie, we know your mum means every single word she says" A voice said and they both turned to see Miss Zoey with her charming bright smile.

She is Monalisa's cousin and has been with them since she was fifteen-- Alora was three years old then.

They bonded so well and Alora took her as a Mother figure since Monalisa is neglecting her duties and has buried herself in business.

Alora quickly ran to give her a big hug,"I missed you, why didn't you come to wake me up?" Alora pouted her lips and asked.

"Come on dear, let's get you ready for school" Zoey chuckled and said as she held Alora's hands and with that, they both went upstairs, forgetting about the maid.

Apart from Joe, Zoey is another employee that has stayed in Monalisa's house for a long time, and that's because she agreed to stay as Alora's nanny. She doesn't share any bond with Monalisa-- only bitter memories they've decided to overlook.

She's also the head maid and obviously Alora's favorite.

Alora shares the same qualities as Monalisa though she has refused to accept it. She tries to be respectful though but it has a limit and she easily gets to that limit.

Alora had her bath as Zoey ironed her uniform, she soon came out of the restroom and started drying her body.

"I just don't get how mom enjoys tormenting people, why don't you know anything about her?"Alora complained, as Zoey brushed her hair and added cute pink ribbons to the side, giving Alora the cutest face and look in her uniform.

"We never met when we were kids, my sister is her biggest enemy too." Zoey smiled, Alora turned to her.

"You've said this before, but you don't want to tell me who your sister is. Who is she?" Alora asked but Zoey quickly adjusted herself.

"You don't know about that now, your mom is quite a handful but I'm sure she will change soon" Zoey said as she kissed Alora on her forehead.

Alora twirled in her uniform and let out the cutest smile making Zoey gush happily

"Awwwn, aren't you the cutest...my sweetie is very pretty" she clapped while Alora laughed, and just then, the car horn interrupted the moment, so Alora quickly carried her bag.

"Let's go, we don't wanna be late for school" Zoey said as they went downstairs.

Immediately the car drove off, Zoey turned to the house, her smile quickly turned to a frown.
