8| First Day (Emma)

It’s the morning of my first day, and I’m laying here in bed with my new sheets rolling around not wanting to get up.

I don’t have to be there until 7 and my alarm was still set for 5:30, so I decided to snooze it a few times and use that time to will myself to get up and get dressed. I showered twice yesterday, and something tells me that I’m going to feel the need to shower after work today, so I’m skipping it this morning.

I drifted in and out of consciousness for a good while until I saw that it was now 6 and I needed to get up.

Dressing for a job at a designers office, you’d think it would be difficult because you would want to look as fashionable as ever and make a good impression all the time, but not for Greene Designs; the CEO had a dress code that we all had to follow so to not “cloud his vision.” I snorted at the thought, the man had an ego the size of Manhattan.
