"What could that be?" He asked, although with an uninterested tone.

"It's an order from the incoming Alpha." I paused to study his face once again, and all of a sudden, the frown on his face disappeared and was instantly replaced with a feeling of fear. "He asked me to tell this to any of the guards; he said he needs some maidens immediately."

"Okay, I'll do just that!" The guard replied and turned towards the gate.

"Hey, relax! I'm not done with the information." He paused in his tracks and turned one ear in my direction. "You should not keep him waiting."

"Not! I'll be back even before you know it."

The guard zoomed off afterward, and as he left, I began to wonder what had just happened. He initially thought I had sent for him for my desires, which was the exact reason why he had frowned his face. But the instant he heard that the order was from Killian, he instantly soiled up into life once again.
