Eva Lane had just received a letter from Europe.

The words 'biological mother' hit Eva hard on the heart.

Eva’s expression turned dark as she stared at the room number. She replied with a stoic look on her face, "Thank you."

The attendant opened the room door, and Eva stepped inside.

The room was empty. It was evident that the woman had not yet arrived.

Still standing at the door, the attendant explained, "Please wait for a bit, Miss Lane. I’ll be outside the door if you need anything."

With that, she closed the door.

Once there was a barrier between them, the expression on the female attendant’s face immediately turned cold. She looked around the corridor with high alert.

When she was sure there was no one around, she quickly changed the room number from 2809 to 2806.

The lighting was quite dim inside the room, so it was not easy to look around clearly.

Eva began to feel on edge as she was about to meet that woman.

She did not bother to turn on the lights as she quietly sat down on the soft. Eva tried her best to suppress the hatred in her heart, forcing herself to calm down.

At about nine o'clock, a black Maybach emerged from the dark and came to a stop slowly outside the hotel’s entrance.

The young valet quickly went up respectfully when he saw the car, opening the door of the back seat.

A tall, slender figure emerged from within.

The man was wearing a well-fitted hand-tailored bespoke suit. He had an air of superiority about him, much like someone of regal descent. He struck fear in the hearts of others.

He had an exquisite face that looked absolutely perfect as if it was a work of art by God himself. Underneath his sharp eyebrows were a pair of dark eyes that were as deep as the sea. His thin lips were closed so tightly, they looked like a straight line. A natural air of nobility on him seemed to exude a feeling of cold aloofness.

"You’ve had some drinks today, Mr. Langley. You should slow down a little."

His assistant, Finn Miller, came running out from the driver’s seat toward Nathan Langley to help steady him.

Nathan may have had some drinks, but his mind was clear.

He did not forget why he was here tonight.

"Your grandfather is seriously ill. He might not make it. His biggest wish is to see you have a child with Nicole. You should give the old man some peace and stop fighting him over this. Be at Presidential Suite 2806 tonight at the Imperial Hotel. Nicole will be waiting for you. Remember to show up."
