Chapter 5

I feel amazing as I weave through forest and jump over trees that have fallen. I love the feel of the wind in my fur. All me sense are heightened I can smell everything and hear everything.

K: This is amazing!

M: Yes it is a can't tell you how badly I wanted to do this for years.

K: Haha I promise that we will do this at least once a day.

Trent comes up next to me and starts to nip at me playfully. Then he jumps on me and we start to roll around playing. We're just goofing around but he nips my tail and I spin around not liking it and I jump on him and push him on his back and snarl. Instantly he turns his head and shows his neck submitting. I stop and just stare at Trent not undstanding Dad mindlinks me.

" Alpha…..Kate please your hurting him.”

I snap my head to dad not understanding still. Dad has his head down to the ground. Mom links next.

"Kate your aura pull it back you have to think about pulling it in. I do as she says and I can see Trent suck in a breath and relax his body.

M: He will think about biting my tail next time.

K: That was not nice he was just playing and you know it.

M: Ya but it was still fun.

I roll me eyes at her and shift back then grab my clothes. We walk back to the house in silence we're all trying to process what happened. When we get to the house I can't take it anymore but before I can say anything mom does.

"Who is hungry how about steaks and roasted potatoes for dinner?"

My stomach answers for me instantly growling.

"Haha sis you will probably eat five steaks now haha."

"Trent did I hurt you?"

"No I'm ok don't worry I'm sure it won't be the last time you do that now that you are Alpha."

"Trent we have an Alpha how can I be Alpha."

He places his hands on my shoulders and looks me in the eyes.

"Kate the Moon Goddess has made you Alpha. Look come here look in the mirror."

That's when I see it I'm about 3 inches taller my figure is a perfect hourglass my muscles are toned and defined but in a feminine way. My hair somehow looks darker and now is past my butt. My eyes are bright ice blue now. My skin is flawless. Then Trent turns me around and for the first time I see the Goddess mark on my shoulder. Its like a tattoo but more detailed a beautiful full moon with a wolf howling at it.

"Kate you hold the mark of the goddess that means you are a born Alpha. "

"Holy Crap!"

Mom laughs from the kitchen and I look at her.

"You look great dear tell us did Your wolf tell you anything?"

"Yes that the Goddess really did make me the first female Alpha"

"Well I can tell you that all of us are here and ready to serve you as our Alpha."

I smile at my mother and hug her. We talk a little more as we eat and talk about tomorrow and that we will not be saying anything like the Moon Goddess asked tell after the rejection. Sarah and I plan on meeting at the dining hall to help mom decorate in the morning and then she head home to get some rest. I'm now lying in my bed trying to get my head to slow down. Then it hits me my tattoo crap everyone will see it in my dress.

M: I will conceal it tell after the rejection.

K: You can do that.

M: Silly girl yes WE can do that only when in dangerous situations though. Come time to go to bed tomorrow will be a long day.

The next morning I wake up and feel refreshed I head down stairs and see my parents making breakfast together happily. I can't help but watch them dad is trying to help mom but is not helping honestly as he can't cook. While mom laughs and looks at him like there is nothing she would rather then him be in her way. I head over to the couch where Trent is on the couch.

"Morning Alpha"

"Ok that's it I can't do this!"

"What's the mater?"

"You! You are my brother and honestly my best friend well besides Sarah, so stop with the Alpha. I know I'm the Alpha but im your sister first so I only want you all calling me that when it's necessary."

I give him a stern look waiting for the answer I want.

"Ok Kate good morning."

"Thank you I know what was a little sarcasm in there but I'll take it. Good morning to you to I am going to miss training again today so tomorrow I may need a good sparing partner what do you say?"

"Sounds like you want to use your new found strength on me to hurt me. But I'll try to keep up."

"I was kicking your butt before being Alpha what makes you think I won't now."

"Oh I know but now I may not win any sparing matches with you at least before it was a 50/50 chance."

Dad laughs from the other room and tells us to come eat. After breakfast mom and I head over to the pack house to meet Sarah and start to decorate for the festival.

As I'm sitting out table decorations when I get a smell of apple pie and something else I can't make out. I start to do the next table when the hair on my neck stands up. I turn around and there he is my mate my heart drops as now I know who has lost his way on a true path. Caleb the Alpha's son!
