In ancient times humans were suffering from famine and diseases, they were weak and pathetic; one human man eventually got tired of being at the mercy of the God-like dragons. Walking in the woods he stumbled upon a glowing flower… it was the only of it’s kind, he was curious and in a cloth he wrapped the strange flower, once in his cottage he boarded up the windows and began to work, he didn’t know what he was doing… simply following a voice in his head, he brewed the flower into a kind of tea and drank it carefully… he felt a strange surge of power within him. There were a few books with weird markings that could create the elements… he tried and tested the marking for fire, he lit the fireplace. That is how the first human found magic, as the years passed by he helped many of the people in his village, other villages became jealous and angry at the fact that only him and his offspring had the gift of magic and soon the hunt for all sources of magical creatures and plants began.
Eventually some humans starting dabbling in darker magic, it had the stench of death. At first the dragons accepted that the humans had found magic, but it soon started creating differences between the magical beings and mortal beings… the humans that started practicing dark magic, had developed an insatiable hunger for power… the bond between dragons and human had now become fragile, the slightest misunderstandings would threaten an outbreak of war. Many humans started to fear the dragons, while the others feared the human sorcerers. As the years turned centuries, dragons and humans found a way to settle their differences to keep the world in balance and prevent the loss of innocent lives… even then, the fear of magic and dragons lingered in the back of every human’s mind.
There was however, a young sorcerer, Alec, he lived in a village not far from the fire archdragon. He believed that humans and dragons could live in harmony once more; if only both parties were willing to listen. He did not fear the giants, he saw them as kind and gentle. The amount of respect Alec had for each of the archdragons made him look at them differently, he looked upon them with admiration. Alec a man of twenty seven years, was a powerful sorcerer and not to mention extremely handsome, with his chocolate brown hair that had waves, his hazel brown eyes and full pink lips, his lean tone built, with a height of five foot seven. He had a strong jaw with stubble, he looked rugged and sexy… every eligible woman in the village admired and swooned over him, Alec had no interest in any of the woman from his village or any of the other villages that he visited for magic council meetings… he had built a two story stone house just on the outskirts of his village. He preferred to live alone and be alone, at least when he had to deal with the humans.
The humans looked up to Alec for guidance and advice and guidance when it came to dealing with the archdragons, especially the Queen of the archdragons, Nuri… there had even been some rumors floating around that the fondness that the Queen dragon and Alec was strange. The rumors did anger Alec, but not because they were not true, but because he knew that the chemistry between him and Queen Nuri was unexplainable. Alec felt a burning desire towards here… one he had never felt with anyone ever before, but he had to put those undeniable and unexplainable feelings aside for more important and pressing matters. In the recent year, his village as well as the neighboring villages were having tremendous trouble with some of a few of the rebellious dragons from each element, setting villages ablaze, flooding crop fields, unearthing fresh sprouts letting them either dry up in the heat or get drown in the flooding, during the harvest, they would scatter the crops with fierce winds and then just cause havoc looting the farmers and the villages of their livestock and destroying their houses… but now it had gotten very out of control and a meeting with the archdragons was to be called, the rebel dragons had starting killing humans for sport. This was causing more fear and panic to arise within the humans and tensions were calling for war. Later that evening the village chief called for a meeting in the village square, Alec heard each concern and the cries for war… he stood up and calmed the crowd down, his deep voice commanding respect.
“I need you all to please calm down, war is not the answer”
“Oh yeah? And why is that” one man shouted out from amongst the villagers
“Because he has a strange liking for the queen of the beasts” another villager shouted out, but this time it was a woman’s voice, the fact that the rumors, fear and panic had made them question Alec’s guidance and advice. He was angry, the rage starting to burn in his heart,
“Do not dare judge me based on rumors that you have spread not just through this village but neighboring villages as well” Alec’s voice bellowed and the in distinct chatter came to an end. The glow of the square bonfire highlighted the rage that had set in on Alec’s tanned face.
“Alec, what can we do to put an end to this?” The village chief spoke and brought everyone’s attention back to the matter at hand. Alec took a deep breath, closed his eyes… he felt his mind drift to the beautiful archdragon Nuri, he quickly pulled himself back to reality.
“Chief, could you send word after two days for the head sorcerers and sorceresses of the neighboring villages to await word from me regarding the matter at hand” Alec spoke, the chief nodded, then spoke,
“Why in after two days?”
“By then I would have had enough time to speak with the dragon queen and the other element archdragons and we would all be able to come up with acceptable solutions”
“Consider it done lad.”
Alec stood up, “I’ll get packing then and begin my two day journey at day break” as he walked away from the village square, he could see from the corner of his eyes, the villagers staring at him, he could hear the indistinct whispers. He shook his head and was ever so grateful for having built his house just outside the village. He got into his house and started gathering his books, notes and packing some food and supplies, he took a long shower… trying to block out the fact that he was a born outcast, he laid on his bed wrapped in his towel and stared up at the ceiling. In two days he would be face to face with the most beautiful beast he had ever seen, he closed his eyes and his mind drifted back to the dragon queen Nuri, her scarlet red scaled outlined by gold, the size of her gorgeous wings that were edged with gold… her soft amber eyes gazing down at him, the sound of her voice when she spoke, the respect her very presence commanded, he was brought back to reality by the crackling of the fireplace in his room, he then realized something was actually happening to him, while lost in his thought of the majestic beast… he had developed a stiff erection, now he was just frustrated… how could a man be with a beast.
Sitting by the fireplace on Alec’s lap, she wanted to get his mind off everything he had been through with his family. Nuri wanted to show him that right in the palm of his arms, that he had a beautiful future just waiting for his embrace. Alec kissed up and down Nuri’s neck and heard her moan lightly, he allowed his hands to slip up her dress and Nuri, had a mischievous idea, she slapped Alec’s hand away and smiled as she ran her fingers through his hair, pulling his hair slightly to expose his neck; she ran her tongue along his neck and up to his ear, she whispered,“You’re not getting it that easy.”She sucked his ear lobe seductively and made him growl lowly; Alec grabbed her thigh and his claws elongated just a little bit leaving some red scratch marks on Nuri’s thighs. Nuri pulled back and looked down.“Semi-transformation, I did not know we could do that.”
Back at Mount Inferno Vertex, Nuri waited for days on end to hear back from her beloved; she often wondered if thoughts of her crossed his mind, if they made him smile… by now Nuri could shape shift between her dragon and human form; she wanted to surprise Alec with this news as well as the news of their egg that laid protected deep within the heart of Mount Inferno Vertex. Days turned into weeks and Nuri had heard nothing from Alec… the silence was becoming deafening; Nuri was so consumed in her own little fantasy bubble, that she did not realize her domain was falling apart; she did not stop to even think about what Alec might be going through with his family. That night, Nuri went to bed with tears in her eyes and a heavy heart… would he ever come back?In the early hours of the next morning Nuri woke up to the sound of pot and pans making noise and indistinct singing, she wielded a fire orb in her right hand as she slowly descended from the stairs; she made her way to the kitchen,
The weeks turned into months, the relationship between Nuri and Alec started to become strained. What was supposed to be a quick trip and settle his family into the cabin and return to Nuri; that trip had now turned into three months, with his mother and sister consuming his days. Alec’s mind often wondered to thoughts of Nuri, he longed for her to be in his arms, he had last heard from her two weeks ago; she had sent a letter telling him that a big surprise was awaiting him back at their home, Mount Inferno Vertex. Alec, had not been able to reply to her since he was juggling his family on one hand and on the other he was trying to find out why villagers were leaving the fire domain, every time he tried to speak to anyone that was leaving he was met with angry faces, grunts and shrugged off; he started to feel frustrated at the growing confusion and tension that is his life. Early one morning Alec went for a walk in the village square, he was heartbroken to see that most of the store
Alluvium was woken up by the sound of a loud bang on the other end of the mansion, getting out of his luxury king sized bed he walked over and saw from Akantha’s study there was thick clouds of white smoke coming out, he ran in pushing the windows wide open and pulled Akantha out of the study.“What the fuck were you doing?”“Potion making”“It could not wait till morning?”“I work best at night… what do you care anyway?”“I don’t; but I wont let you cause explosions in my house. Aren’t you supposed to be one of the best?”“I am, but mishaps do take place”Alluvium was furious; this dumb woman was working on heavens knows what, at this hour and disturbed his sleep; he pinched the bridge of his nose and shook his head, taking a deep breath,“What potion were you making that it could not wait till morning?”“I wanted to make a potion to pollute the waters, the more people fall ill the more they will turn to you and slowly they will treat you as their King, more dragons will do your bidd
While Nuri and Alec had gone underground and Winstrain vanished into thin air; Miranda was but a distant memory to Alluvium and having dropped the dead weight and the fact that he did not have to face the wrath of three archdragons, gave him bountiful opportunities to gather dragons from each of the elements and convince them to join his rebel cause, he would have Nuri as his queen and he would cause an element archdragon war to get his way. Goko had been preoccupied as well, but he did not leave Alluvium unchecked. At the shoreline between borders, Goko and Alluvium met in human form; Goko hoped that he would be able to stop the brewing war and bring Alluvium on track again; Goko already had much happening in the Water kingdom, a secret he was hiding and he needed to get back to that before things unraveled. As Alluvium approached the rocky shore, Goko wished that the other two, or at least one of them was present with him. Here; he was fighting this alone. The two archdragons exchan
The next morning, the atmosphere in the cottage was tense, Ronilda left early; making sure to slam the door. Petronella had tried to talk Ronilda into coming with them, but she had made it very clear that she wanted nothing more to do with Alec and that was the end of the conversation. The horse and cart arrived just after breakfast. There was a bed in the back of the cart, Alec helped carry his mother onto the stretcher and into the cart. Petronella took one last look at the only home she had known her entire life, it was bitter-sweet goodbye, a tear escaping her eyes as she the horse and cart rolled moved and the view of the cottage grew smaller and smaller till out of sight. Petronella looked at her mother, she noticed that the handkerchief was stained with old blood, probably from last night, she replaced the stained dirty one with a cleaner one, Alec peeped in from the front of the cart; he was sitting out front with the driver, “How is mother doing?” “Okay as of now.” “We wil
