Alex Madson — The Dawn of a New Era

The door had barely closed behind Edward Wood when I could already taste the bitter tang of anger on my tongue. My eyes remained fixed on the spot where he’d stood for long, tense seconds, until my fingers curled around the arm of the chair with such force I nearly tore the leather. They’ve finally shown themselves. DaWolf’s hounds.

At least now I knew how close they were.

I walked to the window and stared down the road as it snaked between the gnarled, leafless trees, swallowed by winter’s mist.

It was far too soon. I hadn’t expected the Empire to move so quickly—or so brazenly. But something had changed. Something had slipped through.

“Damn it,” I whispered.

Had someone in the village warned them? A traitor? Some fool hoping for salvation? It was possible… but, in a way, predictable. Those worms always turn on you when fear outweighs hunger.

Still, I knew this day would come, sooner or later.

But… let it be now.

I touched the old scar across my c

Alesha Stokes — A step in the right directionI stood there, frozen. The ballroom still buzzed with muffled whispers, the hurried footsteps of the servants, and the distant click of closing doors. But I… I still couldn’t move. Matthew DaWolf had defended me. In public. In front of everyone. In front of Anabelle! Something I never—even in my wildest dreams or most carefully laid plans—expected to happen so soon. But… what had come over him? Before he left like that, he had seemed different, as if he was fighting against his own actions—against his wolf. As if something inside him had awakened. His eyes weren’t the same. His scent wasn’t the same. It was like his wolf was breaking free, taking over everything. My skin still burned where his fingers had touched me. The letter still hovered in my memory, and I could almost feel its edges between my fingertips. His eyes, shining as he looked into mine… By the Goddess. And then, he simply walked away. He left me there, my he

Alesha Stokes — Among Beasts and HuntersI barely slept. I spent the entire night tossing and turning, running through every possible scenario in my head—everything I’d say or do when I finally came face to face with him again—alone. Every small gesture would be part of my plan. Every word he might say, every look we’d exchange. This was my moment. And when the sun finally broke over the horizon, I got up with the certainty that everything would change from that day forward. I put on my best servant’s uniform. Hair perfectly pinned back. The necklace Marilyn gave me was hidden in my hair bun, always tucked away. It was my charm of courage. A reminder of who I was doing this for—and why. For her. For the village. For me. I walked toward the Supreme Alpha’s hall with a strange kind of tension in my stomach—not fear, but anticipation. And luckily, there was no sign of Anabelle. I felt like I had already won. Like I was one step away from getting exactly what I wanted.

Matthew DaWolf — Maybe I’m going insane. From the moment I stepped back into the palace, I knew.It was only a matter of time before I lost control.Alesha had changed. She was stronger. Bolder. And worst of all... even more beautiful.Damn the way her eyes met mine—like she could see straight through me. Like she could hear the muffled scream of my wolf.Holding back was harder than I ever imagined. And then, as if everything wasn’t already falling apart fast enough, I did it.I stopped Annabelle. I got between her and the punishment she was about to inflict on Alesha. Right there, in front of everyone. My body moved on its own.It was him—not me.My wolf.He snapped. The second I saw Annabelle raise her hand toward Alesha, I wanted to rip her limb from limb. It was like… I couldn’t let anyone touch her. Hurt her.No one but me.The moment I stopped Annabelle mid-tantrum, silence fell. Everyone stared at me in shock—dozens of servants looking at me like I was a monster.Maybe I was.

Alesha Stokes — Taming a BeastI blinked. Once. Twice. I thought I must have heard him wrong. But I hadn't. "You can’t be that close to any other man like that." His voice still echoed in my ears even after he had walked away. Deep. Intense. Full of... possession? My legs almost gave out, but I stayed standing. I could still feel his fingers pressed into my skin. My shoulders burned like they were on fire. I rubbed the sore spot, trying to ease the pain, but it was just a reflection of the chaos swirling inside me. Did he really feel something for me? It was the only explanation for that outburst. For the way he looked at me. The way he pulled me in. Locked me in here. Like he wanted to keep me away from the world. And part of me... Part of me *thrilled* at that thought. Because as wrong and terrifying as it was... I wanted it. I wanted him. But the other part of me—the colder, more rational part—was on high alert. Because Matthew DaWolf didn’t seem lik

Alesha Stokes — Targeted by the Supreme Alpha?I woke up to the sound of hurried voices in the corridors and the clatter of boots on the stone floors. My body still ached from the previous day's training, my muscles heavy, and my arms stiff as if they had been carved from ice.But there was no time to weaken.Today would be one of the most important days since I entered that palace.I got up, put on my apron, tied my hair as best I could, and slipped on my still-damp boots. It was time to act, to stand firm. The snow continued to fall lightly, covering everything with a silent and treacherous whiteness.Even so, preparations for the big hunt could not wait.Everyone seemed anxious, stressed, talking too loudly and walking fast. For several days, wagons loaded with supplies had been pulled into the forest next to the palace. The first workers had begun to set up large tents made of thick fabric, wooden platforms, and huts where meals would be served to the noble guests.I was one of th

Alesha Stokes — Danger? As soon as I moved away from the wagon, I took a deep breath, trying to keep my balance. My hands still hurt from the last box, but nothing compared to what was going on inside my head. And, perhaps worse, inside my chest.I slowly moved away, feeling his gaze still burning on my back. But on impulse, I glanced discreetly to the side.Roland was standing not far away, next to the guards responsible for Matthew's protection. His eyes were on me, dark and narrowed. It looked like a kind of silent rage that he didn't even try to hide. His jaw was tense, his hands clenched at his sides. He saw Matthew helping me.He saw everything. And he didn't like it one bit. When I passed him, waiting for a word, a comment, a greeting, even a grunt—he simply looked away. He pretended I was invisible. He ignored me.And for some reason, that made me feel uncomfortable.Because it wasn't just him. Some of the servants who were nearby also looked away, whispering to each other. I

Matthew DaWolf — The smell of danger. The tent I was in smelled of damp leather and wet earth. The cold seeped in through the cracks in the canvas, and even with the blankets and the warmth of the fire, I couldn't sleep. To be honest, I hadn't slept in days.Ever since I returned to that damn palace, something inside me wouldn't settle. My wolf was growing increasingly restless, as if something very wrong was about to happen. Or maybe it already was.I ran my hand over my face, trying to loosen the tension in my muscles. My stubble scratched against my fingers. I was exhausted. But sleep simply would not come.My tent was a little away from the soldiers'. I did that on purpose. If even one of them noticed how out of control I was... There would be no more respect, only blind fear. And blind fear leads to betrayal. I learned that from my father.Alesha.My thoughts turned to her again.I shouldn't have gone to her like that. But the feeling of seeing her working like that, running all

Matthew DaWolf — On the brink of ruinI looked at the entrance to the tent… at the makeshift canvas… and wondered, with what little lucidity I had left, if I would be able to leave after seeing what I had to see up close. But between leaving her wounded or putting myself in the hell I had created, the choice was already made.I pushed the canvas aside with my shoulder and entered the small, hot space, suffocated by her scent.Sweet, wild.I kneeled beside the makeshift bed, placing her carefully on the blankets.I tried to remain rational, cold.Check the wound. That was all I had to do. And then leave. With trembling hands, I picked up a piece of cloth that was on some boxes nearby. I needed to clean her wound. But the first glance at her thigh destroyed me.Her pale, smooth skin was marked only by the tear in her clothes and the red streak of dried blood. The problem was that the torn clothes showed too much. The line of her groin, the soft curve, seemed to call to my hands.I swall

Anabelle Mixon — A Knife in the Back.It was like seeing a vision of hell. My hell.My love...the reason I had agreed to do all that, was...dying.The sheets beneath him were stained with dark blood, and sweat-soaked strands of hair stuck to his feverish forehead. My knees almost gave out. "No…" I whispered. "No… this can’t be happening…" I rushed to his side, nearly stumbling over the rug. One of the healers tried to stop me, but I slapped his hand away. "I’m the daughter of the Prime Minister! I have every right to be here!" I knelt beside the bed and reached for him. My hand trembled as it touched his. It was hot. Far too hot. "Keep going. Do whaever it takes," I demanded, getting to my feet. "Bring him back. Make him live."I was in shock, the whole thing. All that confusion, it wasn't supposed to happen. Why the hell was everything going wrong? That bitch Alesha turned out to be someone else. My Matthew, who was supposed to easily resist the poison, is succumbing.

Anabelle Mixon — Victory or...?Finally. After so many setbacks, after so much pretending, the world was finally falling back into place. The little bitch was locked up. And me? In control. Sure… some things had gone off the rails — I never imagined that filthy omega would have a wolf of *that* caliber inside her. It gave me chills. For a few minutes, I’ll admit… I actually doubted myself. Questioned whether I was doing the right thing. But then I remembered everything she had done to me. The humiliation. The way she looked at Matthew. The way *he* looked back at her. No. That bitch had to fall. I walked through the cold prison halls, the sound of my heels echoing like bells of judgment. The guards stepped aside as I passed, lowering their heads, making way without even daring to meet my eyes. As it should be. And there she was. In the deepest cell. Curled up, dried blood streaking her legs, white hair a tangled mess — like something torn from an ancient tale of

Roland J. Hall — My Alesha... is innocent. The sound of clashing swords echoed behind me, mingling with growls and screams. But I didn’t look back. My mission was clear: get reinforcements. The Supreme Alpha had been ambushed, and as much as I wanted to stay and fight to my last drop of blood, I knew it would be useless.I ran harder than I ever had before. The cold wind sliced my skin, snowflakes stung my eyes, but I didn’t stop. The horse was nearly collapsing beneath me, but I didn’t slow down. When I finally saw the outline of the tents at camp, I shouted with everything I had:“THE SUPREME ALPHA! HE’S BEEN AMBUSHED!”The camp erupted into motion. Guards jumped to their feet, weapons were grabbed, and mounts readied within seconds. And then, before I could even catch my breath, the first ones to ride out were the Zamoras — father and son. August led the charge, his horse seemingly gliding above the ground. It made me frown. They looked like they knew exactly where to go. No questi

Edward Wood — The Truth Behind the RotI could feel the snow slicing against my face as I rode hard back toward the palace. I hadn’t slept properly in days—not since I followed an old instinct, the same one that had saved me countless times during the war. The same instinct that now screamed something was deeply wrong. Matthew needed to hear the truth, and there was no time for letters or messengers. This was too big. After confronting Alex Madson, I knew I couldn’t stop there. That slippery worm had pretended not to care, but the documents I got out of him—thanks to a little pressure and the edge of my sword—told a different story. Among the papers, one thing stood out immediately: there was absolutely no record of Alesha Stokes. None.No proof she’d ever lived in the village of Amari’s Wood. No birth record. Nothing. It was as if she had appeared out of thin air. And if that wasn’t enough, the files showed Alex was still in contact with other long-forgotten villages in the kingdom—p

Alesha Stokes — The Price of My Choice. My heart nearly stopped when I saw Matthew fall from his horse.Time seemed to slow down—every second, every breath, every beat of my heart echoed in slow motion in my ears. The arrow stuck in his chest. The blood staining the pure snow.I pulled on the reins, trying to stop the horse, trying to get back to him.But I couldn't.The horse, frightened, bolted even faster. The only choice I had was to jump. And that's what I did.I fell into the cold snow, my knees scraping against the hard ice, but I didn't feel the pain. All I could see was him.Lying there, motionless, breathing weakly. The wolves began to surround him slowly, sensing his imminent death.I jumped up, fear throbbing in my veins. Then the cruel reality hit me:I had nothing. No weapon. No strength compared to those creatures. And worse...If I showed them who I was now, everything would be lost.My true essence. My secret. My revenge, everything I had fought for. Matthew Dawolf — Man or beast. The cold seemed worse than I had ever known. The heavy snow made it difficult to even breathe. And the dam effect of the herbs... it corroded my body like slow rust.I was exhausted. And not lacking endurance.No.I was the Supreme Alpha.I was forged in wars, shaped by pain. But this time… it was different. The emptiness inside me was unbearable. My wolf... wasn't there.I rode on, each step heavy and drawn out.My eyes scanned the forest.Looking for any sign of prey, any trail, any damn movement in the snow.Nothing.Absolutely nothing. The forest was dead. And inside me, all that remained was the echo of a trapped roar.I kept going because stopping was not an option.Time passed.Hours.I knew that a wolf's body could withstand much more than that. But without my beast, I was just... a man.A stubborn man is trying not to fall off his saddle. When the pain began to spread through my joints, I stopped the horse, pretending that I just needed to take

Alesha Stokes — Where's the prey? The instructions had been given. Now, everyone began to disperse, getting ready for the hunt to begin.I took a deep breath, trying to calm the tightness growing in my chest. But then...I felt it.A chill ran down my spine. My instincts alerted me even before my eyes found the source. When I turned discreetly to look for where that feeling was coming from, I saw it.Anabelle.Standing below the platform, a few meters away, impeccably dressed, with that damn arrogant smile plastered on her painted lips. But it wasn't just her.Two men were with her.Tall. Strong. With military posture and cold, icy stares. They stared at me as if I were a piece of meat thrown in front of hungry wolves.I felt my whole body freeze.I didn't know who they were; I didn't know the coats of arms and flags of all the families yet, but if there was one thing I was sure of, it was that they were powerful. My body reacted, processing the danger.I looked away, lowered my head,

Anabelle Mixon — The beginning of the game.I finished adjusting my leather gloves, high riding boots, and thick cloak that covered my shoulders.I hated all that mud. That dirty snow, sticking to my boots and the hem of my dress. But I would make the sacrifice. For him.For Matthew. He was still my goal.My destiny. My damn mission.I had kept my distance over the last few days, watching all the commotion and all the changes from afar. Some might have thought I had given up.That I had surrendered.Idiots.I was working.Working on my real plan.I saw how Matthew started acting after he came back from the temple... how he got close to that bitch, Alesha. He started showing up everywhere she was, and it was burning me up inside, like the gates of hell had opened inside me.If he didn't see me the way he used to...Then I would make sure he had no choice. My blood pulsed with anticipation as I listened to the knocking at the door.“Come in,” I called, lifting my chin. The maid appeared

Alesha Stokes — Where is my wolf? The cold morning wind blew through the tent as soon as I opened my eyes. But this time, I didn't care.My heart was beating fast, excited.Today was the big day.The hunt — and I would be right there with him.I got dressed, got up quickly, and washed my face in the small basin of cold water until my cheeks were rosy.I wanted to look presentable. I wanted him to see me... and notice me.I was still fixing my hair when a movement outside caught my attention. The canvas of my tent suddenly opened, revealing Madalena.Just like at the winter ball, she appeared with a dress in her hands—a servant's outfit, but much more refined than what I normally wore. It was made of heavy, dark blue fabric with discreet embroidery on the hem and sleeves. A dress made to be seen... even if discreetly.Madalena entered without ceremony, her eyes serious and worried. And that only proved even more that something had happened, something they wanted to hide from everyone.
