Chapter 2

Sassy slammed the door shut and collapsed onto her bed, her fists clenched in frustration. "Why do they have to be so cruel?" she muttered to herself. "I don't understand why they can't just leave me alone. I've never done anything to them. It's not fair."

She buried her face in her pillow, trying to calm down, but the anger still burned inside her. "I'm not going to let them get the best of me," she vowed. "I'll show them that I'm stronger than they think. I won't let their words hurt me anymore."

As she lay there, taking deep breaths and trying to let go of the rage, she realized that she didn't have to face this alone. "I'll talk to the matron," she decided. "she'll know what to do. Maybe she can help me figure out how to deal with Murphy and his clique once and for all."

Feeling a glimmer of hope, she sat up and wiped away her tears. "I can do this," she whispered to herself. "I won't let them win."

Soon, a few of the other girls noticed her absent-mindedness.

"Sassy, are you okay?" One of the girls asked.

"Yeah, I've never seen her this way." Another said.

Sassy opened her eyes to look at them, and it was yellow again. One of the girls slipped in fear.

"Something is wrong. Matron!" The other girl called and ran out of the room.

Soon, the matron came to the room to confirm what the girl had said, but Sassy's eyes were back to their normal color.

The matron looked confused and turned to the girl.

"What did you see?"

"Her eyes! They were yellow! Anna saw it too." The girl said.

"Yellow?" Sassy asked.

"Don't lie Sassy." The girl said.

"Matron, I have no idea what she's talking about," Sassy said honestly.

"Have you gotten your wolf?" The matron asked.

"No, not until I'm eighteen," Sassy said.

The matron looked even more confused.

"That's strange. Come with me." The matron ordered and left; with Sassy walking behind her.

"And the weird gets weirder." The girl called Anna remarked.

(ALPHA ROBERT'S RESIDENCE)

"I made sure they were all delivered safely. All the children were so happy to receive them." Beta Leo said to the Alpha.

"That's great. How about the school?" Alpha Robert asked.

"It's also going well. Everything is in order."

"Alright, thank you. And my son?" Alpha Robert asked.

"Murphy is also doing great sire. Apart from occasional reports about bullying, he's doing pretty well in school." Beta Leo said.

"Okay."

Beta Leo bowed and left.

Alpha Robert walked towards the window and watched as the rain splashed and splattered all over.

Whenever he saw the rain, it brought back different memories he wanted to bury forever.........

Someone knocked on his door.

"Come in." He said and walked back to his chair.

"Hey pops," Murphy said as he walked in.

"And what does that mean?" Alpha Robert asked.

Murphy chuckled and sat on the couch.

"It's a slang for dad. Y'all so old school, you don't even know what that means."

"Murphy, I've been getting reports about you bullying others in school. Is that true?"

Murphy rolled his eyes.

"The same old story pops. I told you it isn't true."

"But why do I still keep getting reports?" Alpha Murphy asked.

"It's not my fault they are weak. If they feel I bully them, they should try fighting back. Even if I get beaten up, my father won't let it slide, after all, he's the Alpha, right?" Murphy asked with a smirk.

Alpha Robert shook his head sadly.

"You should stop bullying others in school especially...."

".... Sassy! I know. It's always about her. The weird Blondie." Murphy said.

"Not just her. Others too!" Alpha Robert said.

"Yeah, whatever."

"You'll be an Alpha soon. Stop having this nonchalant attitude towards things."

"Relax pops. I'm not an Alpha yet, right? I'll be leaving now. I'm going to drop by the game store, there's a new game in town and everyone is talking about it. Isn't that crazy? Anyway, I'm going to check it out today, so I took a few bucks from you, just in case you haven't noticed it yet. Thank you pops, love you, bye." Murphy said and immediately walked out of the office.

Alpha Robert only sighed and dialed the orphanage.

(BACK AT THE ORPHANAGE )

"What's going on with you?" The matron asked as soon as they got into an empty room.

"How do you mean, Matron?" Sassy asked.

"Your eyes turning yellow and all that."

"I honestly don't know what they were talking about matron. I only sat quietly on my bed." Sassy explained.

The matron had a suspicious look on her face.

"What happened at school today?"

Sassy looked down, unsure about speaking or not.

"Speak!" The matron yelled.

"The...the....the Alpha's son, M..m.. Murphy. He...he...he...he..." She stammered.

"Can you stop stammering and speak clearly?" The matron asked.

"The Alpha's son hit me."

"He hit you? Why didn't you tell anyone?" The matron asked looking concerned.

"No one cares," Sassy responded.

"How do you mean? You know I care about every one of you here. I love you all equally." The matron said.

"No, you don't. You treat the other girls better. And you call me Blondie. The other girls look down on me and you don't do anything about it."

The matron looked away, guilt written all over her face.

"But, I'm cool with it. I already got used to it." Sassy said with a shrug.

The matron moved closer to her and noticed the metallic smell of blood around.

"Were you hurt?" She asked.

"Yeah, a little. I hit my mouth after he pushed me."

The matron frowned.

"That brat! What else did he do?"

"He umm...he threw my bread to the floor and stole my diary. I tried to get it back and he pushed me." Sassy explained.

"Alright. I know this isn't the first time, but it won't happen again. I promise."

"It will happen again. Murphy is scared of nobody. " Sassy said.

"I promise, it won't." The matron said and Sassy gave her a fake smile.

"Alright, go to your room. I'd try to get your diary back."

Sassy turned to go, but as she got to the door, she turned to look at the matron.

Immediately the matron noticed Sassy's gaze, she tried to hide something, but Sassy had already seen it.

"Anything else?" The matron asked.

"Yes, one more thing. I want to learn how to fight." Sassy said with a straight face, ignoring what she had seen.

"What?" The matron asked, but there was no response as Sassy had already left the room.

The matron heaved a sigh of relief, grateful Sassy didn't notice what she was doing.

But did she think so?....
