25. Vote Against Her

"Yeah, she's safe for now." He took a glimpse at the sleeping Jacyn at the car's back seat. Her brows were knitted together indicating that she's uncomfortable. She fell asleep as they waited for an hour to pass. "They're on the move now."

The man on the other line tightened his grip on his phone upon hearing the report on the incident earlier. His countenance darkened and he looked fearsome.

"Good work on protecting her, today." He didn't forget to thank Uncle Shan.

"Young Master, I may have protected her today but what if they'll come back? Maybe we'll have to increase her guard." Uncle Shan told him his worry. "She also asked me to investigate this matter. I promised her I'll look into it."

"Do as she asked you to do. But always be on guard. Don't let them know you're investigating them. They're supposed to let their guard down."

Uncle Shan agreed and bid him goodbye.
