“I’m so sorry,” I said, rising from the table.

Anna’s eyes were glued to me as she searched for answers she wasn’t going to get.

“What’s wrong?” She asked. “Where are you going?”

I shoved my phone back into my pocket in a hurry. I had to get there in time before something terrible happened to them.

“I can’t tell you, but it’s urgent,” I said. “Thank you for the meal.”

Stella smiled and my eyes drifted back to Anna who looked dissatisfied.

“I have to go, Anna.”

She nodded and I rushed out of the house. Time was running out. This was the time I needed Jarred most but he was lying in the hospital which was my fault. I would just have to do this with the patrol squad, and I wasn’t sure that they were strong enough to hold back the vampires.

A question struck my mind as I drove through the dirt road heading towards the gates. Why would the vampires come back? Was it another trap? Leonardo had escaped and if he knew Cassian, he would tell him that I was coming. So the pack of va

RohanI slammed my fist against the door as the yellow bulb buzzed above me. It was dark now and the sound of the crickets filling the air irked me. I had no other place to go other than here. And here, it was like a ticking time bomb. With Jarred still in the hospital, I couldn’t stay with him. But he was going to be released tomorrow, and only then would I be able to stay with him. The door swung open and Stella appeared. Her eyes widened in shock as she stared at me. It was no surprise that I was here. This was the only other place I could go. And since I chose to explore the strange imprint between Anna and me, my wolf found it difficult to stay away from her. “A—Alpha,” she stuttered. “I can’t believe it.”“Can I come in?” I asked awkwardly, shoving both hands into my pockets. She nodded and I stepped into the house. The room was filled with the aroma of something sweet and fresh. I could smell spices coming from the kitchen and the sound of a steaming pot left me intrigued.

Rohan Home sweet Home. I stepped out of the Mustang slowly staring at the house that was bathed in the evening sunset. It had been quite a day and I was exhausted. The pain in my elbow stung aggressively, the stitches feeling like they were holding my soul in place. The wooden floor creaked beneath me as I stepped on the porch. I opened the door and got into the house. A sigh escaped my lips as I threw the car key on the center table and slumped on the couch. It was good to feel its smooth surface once more. It had been a long time since I sat on the couch. I was always in and out, busy with pack duties but also with the search for vampires. But now, the search was coming to an end because I was finally getting what I wanted. I had found the name of the vampire who had led the attack on us. His name was Cassian Arnholt. Soon, I would get his location, and then I was going to make sure that I destroyed him. That was the least I could do for what he had done to Rachel. I wa

DamonI was a bit hesitant to get into the house but I didn’t have any other choice. I was desperate for answers, and it plagued me like an illness. I stepped into the house and it smelled of rotting wood and the rancid smell of old age. How this man was able to live here without being noticed was a mystery to me. And who the hell was he? I had never seen him before. It looked like he had spent his whole life isolated from the pack. Maybe it was because he didn’t want to be seen. The old man walked with a cane as he directed us towards an old-looking table that looked like it could barely stand. He sat at the table with difficulty and urged us to sit with him. My gaze lingered on him suspiciously before I obeyed. When we sat down, I looked around the room. There was a small hearth at the other end of the room burning mildly. I could hear the crackles from the fire—soft and fragile. “I have to say I am surprised to have the Alpha at my table,” the man said leaning into the table.

DamonThe smell of fried bacon made me walk into the kitchen. Standing before the stove was Sophie as she made breakfast. Her blonde hair was pulled back into a ponytail and her pajamas were being sheathed by the blue apron she wore. She hummed as she worked graciously and I leaned against the doorframe watching her. The guilt weighed me down every time I thought of what Naomi said. Should I tell Sophie the truth? Did she deserve this? Of course not. But I couldn’t tell her either. It was going to break her. I wasn’t ready for that just yet. She deserves better. Deserved more, and until I found Anna and got my child, this was the way that things were going to be. I wished that things would have been better under different circumstances. If she had been able to give me a child, it would have been easier. I loved her, but my responsibility as Alpha was more important than this. I walked into the kitchen and went to her, clutching her from behind. She shrieked in fright as I wrapped m

Cassian“Bring him to me,” I ordered. The guard nodded and stepped out of the room. The dining table was huge, but it suited my taste. Its dark mahogany surface which was almost as smooth as silk always caught my attention. I was seated for dinner and on my right side was my mate, Vivian. She didn’t look pleased as she sat behind her plate. I could tell that something was wrong. “Is there anything wrong with my sweetheart?” I asked softly. Vivian looked up to me, her platinum blonde hair shone there, the chandelier lights and her crimson eyes glowed as they stared at me. I could tell that she was dissatisfied about something. The problem was, I didn’t know what it was. “You told me that we were moving to Paris soon,” she said. I sighed and nodded as I sliced through the turkey with my knife. I stabbed the piece I chopped off and munched it. “I promise you, darling, we will,” I assured her. “After we are done here.”She rolled her eyes and pushed her plate away. “You told me tha
