Rejected by my Alpha, Loved by my Beta
Suddenly, there were sparks in the air as memories came back. My heart froze as I stared at him. The moment I dreaded most had come to life.
“No. This couldn’t be happening,” I told myself.
It was him.
“My lady, this is the man who brought Asher home,” the maid announced beside me. “The Alpha of the Silver Fang pack, Kael Riverstone.”

In a single, shattering day, Aurelia’s world collapses when her husband, the Lycan king, parades a pregnant woman into their home—none other than Liora, the cruel tormentor from Aurelia’s past pack. The betrayal cuts deeper as Aurelia uncovers Kael’s heartless truth: his love was a lie, a scheme to exploit her rare primordial wolf blood. Framed for treason and cast out, Aurelia vows vengeance and returns to her old pack, rising from outcast to the fierce Alpha of Red Moon. Five years later, with her son Asher and her fiercely devoted beta Rune at her side, she’s forged a new life—Rune stepping in as the father figure Asher adores. But as undeniable sparks flare between Aurelia and Rune, threatening to ignite a passion she’s afraid to embrace, her past storms back. Kael, now wracked with regret, grovels for forgiveness, desperate to reclaim what he threw away. With Liora’s schemes lurking, Asher’s wild powers drawing danger, and a hidden bond with Rune unraveling, Aurelia must navigate a treacherous path of love, revenge, and primal strength. Will she seize her hard-won power and heart, or will the ghosts of betrayal pull her back into chaos?

Chapter: 83. A Peek. Kael’s POVI was a fool. I was doing it wrong. My efforts to get Aurelia back were backfiring and I was slowly losing myself. What could I do? What hadn’t I done that could impress her? There was little that I could do while we were here. Our ins and outs were monitored so it was pointless going out. All I could do was sit in my room all day with Ethan criticizing me each time. This was his idea, and I was willing to listen, but maybe I was doing it the wrong way.So how could I do it? How could I show her that I genuinely cared? I didn’t know. I was lost. My main focus was to get her back so that I could get my hands on Asher. They were trembling in anxiety and buried them in my pockets as I walked through the hallways of the hotel. It was late at night and the hallways were empty which was a good thing. The last thing I wanted was to bump into an Alpha I knew here. There were a bunch of them that I’d talked to over the last few days, but that was it. There was only one Alpha I was

Chapter: 82. Rune’s Secrets. Rune’s POVShe was asleep. Good. It had taken a hell lot of convincing to put her to bed. She deserved it after everything that happened today. And especially after she’d asked about Solana. That had caught me by surprise. Aurelia did not love prying but this was going to open because of the way Solana and I were moving. I hated it. And believe me, I would have done anything to make sure I wasn’t at this conference with her. But she wouldn’t let me be and the fact that she followed me everywhere I went and watched me like a hawk made me uncomfortable. The dim silver light from the crescent moon washed into the room, bathing the bed where Aurelia lay. The night’s breeze whistled through the curtains making them dance. On the bed laid Aurelia who was fast asleep. She looked so pretty and peaceful as she slept and the bruises on her face were dying off. That was a relief. For a moment there I thought that something was up with her wolf. Her strawberry lips were slightly parted and

Chapter: 81. Temptations. Aurelia’s POV We were back at the hotel room now, and I was seated on the bed with my fingers running through my damp hair. I was tired and my body ached from the battle with Fernando and his beta. I was glad that we’d been able to get our crystal back, but at the same time, I wondered if it was a good thing that we won it. If we didn’t, we would have been sent back home which meant that I would get to be with Asher quicker than I expected. But that didn’t look like the case, because so far I hadn’t seen anybody being thrown out. The shower was supposed to be relaxing, but it barely did any good for me. Maybe if I got some sleep, it would chase away the pain. My lip still stung from the cut that I’d gotten from the fight. I was tired. I needed some rest. I rubbed my hair with the towel vigorously trying my best to dry it as quickly as possible. I was in nothing but my bra and panties. Rune was in the bathroom, which meant I still had a few minutes to fix myself before he came out.

Chapter: 80. Tamara’s Advice. Aurelia’s POVMy eyes caught Rune as he stepped into the hall. He looked shaken, and it made me wonder what he and Solana had been talking about. It was hard to focus on myself, especially when I saw them together. Maybe it was because it reminded me that Rune’s life didn’t circle around mine and that he had a past that I didn’t know about. My stomach churned but I didn’t feel my wolf stirring inside of me. Maybe it was hunger, maybe it was jealousy. Or perhaps it was irritation. “You know you can just ask him if you really want to know that bad,” Tamara called from beside me. My eyes darted to her and I was startled. She’d caught me staring at Rune. I hoped she didn’t realize what was going on between us. “What?” I asked a bit confused. Tamara rolled her eyes, her septum ring glistening in the chandelier light above us. “Ugh! Don’t play dumb,” she replied. “I’ve seen the way you look at him and the way he looks at you. You guys are the most obvious couple waiting to happen. Bu

Chapter: 79. Agitated. Rune’s POVIt was him every single time. He was always there. He was the source of all my recent problems. Kael Riverstone. There were times when I wanted to kill him. Ending him would have been the best solution. With him out of the picture, Aurelia would feel like her old self again and I would finally have the confidence to tell her about my secrets. Or maybe I was just making excuses to lie to her. Maybe. The afternoon sun blazed down on us as we walked toward the hotel in silence. My body was cold, frozen by the encounter with Kael but mainly about the side effects from shifting. Kael was the last person to witness it. And I was certain that he knew what I was. I couldn't let him keep meeting up with Aurelia like this. Or else he would end up telling her about me before I had the chance. It was a risky move keeping all of this from her. But soon it was going to be worth it. And when the time came, I hoped she would understand. The cold breeze from the air conditioning that brus

Chapter: 78. Clash of Emotions. Aurelia’s POV. We’d won this time. And it was on because we’d put our differences aside and worked together. Fernando and his beta had run off after realizing that they couldn’t defeat us. They were going to have to look for another crystal to steal because this one was ours, and nobody was going to take it from us again. Tamara tore the package and brought the crystal which glows scarlet, pulsing softly as it slept in her hands. This was what we’d been fighting for all day, and I could feel my body aching all around. I couldn’t wait for this day to be over. “We should head back to the hotel before another person tries to steal it from us,” Tamara suggested. I nodded in concurrence and just when we were about to leave, I was stopped by a man clearing his throat. I turned around and found Kael standing before me with his arms folded. Beside him was Ethan who was smiling. I never saw him smile. Ever. I’d totally forgotten about them. If they were here this whole time, it meant that

Chapter: Chapter One-Hundred-And-Twenty-TwoStellaI woke up to my head pounding. Someone was lying with their head down at the edge of my bed. I knew that chestnut brown hair was everywhere I went. It was Jarred. Of course, it was him. It hurt my soul that he was trying so hard to be with me. Maybe it was because I was denying the inevitable. There was no way that I was going to escape what was coming. He was mine. We were meant to be together. And my wolf wouldn’t let me rest until this became a reality. So there was no point in hiding anymore. I moved slightly on the bed, and my whole body ached. My mind flashed to the last thing I remembered. I was fighting some rights whim that had stormed into the house. I’d tried to take all of them down to protect Anna, but the last one had been just too strong for me. I’d messed up badly and that had led to Rohan cleaning up my mess for me. If he hadn’t shown up, I would be dead and something terrible would have happened to Anna. I was irritated with myself. I still want to be stro

Chapter: Chapter One-Hundred-And-Twenty-OneCassianI walked down the dungeon, the cold air brushing against my cheeks. It was dark and stank of urine and dirt. The first cell I came across was the one that held Tiana, the Black Fang’s mate. Her eyes scanned mine from the darkness but she didn’t move. She’d gotten weaker over time. That was the reason she wasn't storming towards me in rage. She’d accepted her star that she wasn’t going to make it out of here. “How are you faring?” I teased with a grin. Through the darkness, I could see her squatting on the cold, stony floor with her hands hugging her knees. “Please. Let me go,” she begged, her voice hoarse. “You know what to do,” I said. She furrowed her brows weakly, unable to speak. She was going to die soon. The harsh environment of my dungeons wasn't going to keep her alive much longer. There was only one person who'd survived this dungeon for a long time. And that was Sybil, and he was a wizard. As for her, she was just a little mutt whose life was going to be wasted.

Chapter: Chapter One-Hundred-And-TwentyCassian“My lord,” Isaiah called as he stopped into my study. I was standing by the window with a glass of liquor in my hand. The damp air sponsored by the heavy rainfall filled my lungs, cooling my anxiety. “Speak,” I said. “He’s here,” Isaiah said. “Then send him in at once,” I said. Isaiah left the room and I sighed before taking a sip of the amber liquid in my glass. My throat burned as the bourbon slid down to my stomach, the warm sensation it brought battling with the cold night air that flushed down my lungs. A loud thunderclap sounded in the distance and I wondered how long the rain would last. I was ready to get back out there. It was almost time. All I needed was a little insurance first. “He’s here, my lord,” Isaiah said as he stepped back into the room. I turned around and found Sebastian lurking behind him. I could see the fear in his eyes. But also the bruises that were all over his face making him almost non-recognizable. “Come forward, Sebastian,” I urged.

Chapter: Chapter One-Hundred-And-NineteenRohanI winced in pain as the antiseptic hit the wound on my knuckles. It stung badly, the feeling reverberating through my body. Anna looked focused as she treated my wound. I didn’t want to argue with her. She was doing this for me, and it made me wonder if she was trying her way to keep herself busy from thinking that what happened to Stella was all her fault.I was snapped back to reality by the stinging pain again. She was brushing the wound with wool now, making sure that it was clean from infection. “Isn’t that enough?” I groaned. She chuckled and looked up at me. “Big Alpha is scared?”I scoffed when she teased me. “You took down the rogues and yet you’re wincing at a little cut?” I clenched my jaw. This wasn’t the time for this. I was more concerned that she was bringing in such humor. I’d never seen her this way before. This confirmed my suspicions. She was worried about Stella and was doing her best to keep herself busy. “You know what happened to Stella isn’t your fau

Chapter: Chapter One-Hundred-And-EighteenRohan“Nice work out there,” I said as I wore the black shirt. Harrison nodded in reply. I was surprised when he tried to stop me, considering that I’d stationed him at the hospital. Tonight everybody had gone over their heads, disobeying orders and doing whatever they liked. But that didn’t matter right now. What mattered was that everybody was safe and there would be no more rogues. But the feeling that this wasn’t over gnawed at me. Someone was working behind the scenes. Someone had sent the rogues after us to keep us distracted. I could tell. But who could it be? Cassian? It didn’t make any sense. Who in their right mind would work for Cassian? Or did Cassian promise them something? Rogues were notorious for being business-oriented. The person who could pay them the most had their attention. So it had to be something proposed to them. “Are you alright?” Harrison asked. “I can take care of the rest of the cleanup. You should get some rest.”I stared at him for a few moments bef

Chapter: Chapter One-Hundred-And-Seventeen AnnaHe did it. Was it ever in doubt? He had won the battle. Of course, I wouldn't expect anything less from him. But what he did was outstanding. Time and time again, he had bailed out his people from attacks. Even though that one time he wasn’t able to save the love of his life. Maybe that was his motivation to do better. The thought of seeing someone go through what he did must have driven him to this state. It was cruel to him, but he didn’t let any of that change who he was. And that was why he was Alpha. The crowd in the hospital cheered and some of them began departing, hoping to get back home safely and meet their families in one piece. But as for the rest of the injured ones, they were going to spend the night here. And speaking of injuries, my mind flashed back to Stella. I had to get to her immediately. I wasn’t going to let her be alone. Not tonight. She’d been there with me every single night of my life. She’d done a lot for him even to the point of death. This was th
