Chapter 3- How evil can they be?

Queen Julia felt no remorse when she pulled the trigger, the abomination that came out from her 22 years ago had to know to be obedient and subservient.

With each growing year, she had hated the girl, hated her guts, and hated the bitch who played a role in saving her, Sasha.

Sasha was a major inconvenience and she hoped that she was in hell where she belonged. She remembered the first few weeks after birth, how Sasha pulled her resources together to find wet nurses for the little demon to make sure she survived.

Queen Julia had restricted herself from paying attention to the baby or even feeding her, she had hoped with each passing day that it would die but it didn't and it was all because of Sasha's resilience.

Sasha had cared for the child as her own, mothered her, protected her, and taught her all she knew was necessary. She never succumbed to Queen Julia's threat and only grew stronger.

Queen Julia had hoped that Sasha would never reveal the identity of the child to her but from an early age, the nurse had told her who she was and revealed everything making Lunaria know who her real parents were and how she came to be.

But even with that revelation, Lunaria never scorned them, she tried to play around her mother from an early age, tried to please her sister, and looked up to her stepfather and all she got in return was hatred and malice.

Queen Julia went up to her office, corking the bottle of champagne and pouring some in a glass. She licked the rim of the glass with the tip of her tongue before sipping gently from it.

She hummed happily to herself, celebrating the death of Sasha and she took steps towards the window.

She looked down to see them taking the body out, she saw Lunaria struggling to get in with the body probably hoping to follow her to her grave but she wasn't going to allow that.

She needed the girl to be around and alive, so all her plans could go smoothly.

"Darling." Dominic's voice sounded through Lunaria's wails that were loud enough for all and sundry to hear, "Don't you think you went too far?"

"Of course not." Queen Julia shook her head turning to her husband, "Come dear, let's celebrate."

She moved to the table and poured him a glass. She picked it up and handed it to him.

"Here's to us." She pronounced clinking their glasses together, "Here's to our billion-dollar fortune and more to come, here's to our happiness and everlasting heaven on earth."

"Yes, darling." Dominic smiled downing the glass as he admired his wife, "You truly are a mastermind, you remind me every day why I fell for you."

"And you as well my love." Queen Julia smiled at him And reached out to touch his hand, "I am glad to have you in my life, it's lovely having you as my husband."

                    Queen Julia and Dominic had met in high school and since then they have been inseparable, after graduating college and the birth of their first child Sylvana, they ran into financial ruin and just then, the eligible billionaire, Liam St Clair had taken a liking to Queen Julia and her child thinking she was a single mother as she never told him that she had a man present in her life.

Dominic got to know of it and they came up with a plan, Liam needed a bride and they needed money.

The plan was to get Queen Julia married to Liam and after a while, get away with his money.

The plan that fell through accurately and in the first two months of marriage, Queen Julia got pregnant and she was devastated.

Dominic had suggested an abortion but Liam had willed everything he had to his unborn child making it impossible for Queen Julia to get away with the millions she intended.

She and Dominic got greedy.

They decided to go through with the pregnancy and while everyone awaited the heir, they planned Liam's death.

Liam had died due to heart failure as concluded by the press and Queen Julia had immediately remarried her high school sweetheart taking over the St Clair empire.

And they couldn't kill Lunaria knowing that they needed her to reach twenty five years of age so she  could sign off her wealth to them before getting rid of her.

"Don't you think she would run off with this?" Dominic asked his wife, "I think you went too far."

"She has nowhere to run to darling." Queen Julia shook her head, "No friends, no family. Society wouldn't even accept her, they do not favor the likes of her."

"Does she know about her wealth willed to her by her father? Do you think Shasa told her?"

"No, Sasha had no idea as well." Queen Julia informed, "We just have to be patient and stick her around for a while, fool her into signing the documents, and boom, we have her fortune in our hands."

"Wouldn't she suspect a thing?"

"The little devil isn't entirely literate, sweetheart."She cackled throwing her head back, "The education Sasha managed to give her definitely wouldn't make her educated enough to read legal documents."

"You are right."

"But in the meantime." Queen Julia got up, "We need to act fast, the news would deal a blow in our stocks, the markets wouldn't be in our favor and most of our investors could withdraw."

"We need to strike a deal that would up our game, but with who? We are currently the best of the best."

She sat back, holding her chin in deep thought, and then her eyes lit up, she shook her head in victory, "I have an idea, ZANDER ASHTON!"

"Heir to the ASTHON ENTERPRISES AND FORTUNES!"Dominic exclaimed, "The new hot Ceo Sylvana was gushing about?"

"Of course!" Queen Julia smiled in victory, "He is new in the field and just came into the country, has a hell of a fortune and everyone wants a piece of him."

"And he could be in need of a bride, our darling Sylvana is perfect!"

"That's it, my dear husband." Queen Julia shot her arms up in the air, "You are thinking in my direction."

"We just need to strike a deal with him and arrange an engagement for him with Sylvana. He wouldn't be able to resist our darling goddess." Dominic smirked, he got up from the chair and walked up to his wife, "We would climb up the ladder reaching its peak and have a son-in-law for ourselves."

"And after a few more years, just three more years, that bitch would be out of the way and everything would be ours!"

"Yes, my darling." He pulled his wife in a huge hug and twirled her around.

They were both elated, they had business deals to sign and a wedding to plan, and soon, the abomination, Lunaria St Clair would be out of the way for good.
