Since birth, Serenia Hansen has been dealt an unlucky hand in life and romance. As the third daughter of the Omega house, she has been subjected to abuse and neglect her entire life, her status no more of that than a servant. Her only hope is the chance at a decent mate once she manifests her wolf, but after 18 years and no such thing has occurred. The Forsaken Luna SAD NEWS!
Hey everyone, this update is to bring some sad news. I will no longer be updating this story here as I feel as an author it is too expensive for the readers. I like making my chapters at least 3k words because I pack a lot into one chapter and I am unable to do that with a word limit of 1500-2k (to keep my chapters affordable I need to keep them between that word count). This story is dragging on because I'm trying to figure out how to keep it at a good pace while also keeping the chapters short and sweet. I'm afraid I'll either make the story too fast or as I am making it now, too slow. I am unable to find a healthy balance and this story is starting to become more of a burden than a joy like it originally is supposed to be. It will still be available on my other sites which are free to read. I would love to continue writing on here but too many times I've run into this issue with my stories and I've tried to cut down but that isn't the kind of writer I am, I'm sorry :( Please feel

Serenia awakes alone in the morning with no sign of Kai, other than the slightly crumpled sheets on one side. She prefers this, being unsure how to react after a restless night of sleeping next to each other, this way she can lay in bed for a little while before she expects Sir Olsson at her door for morning training.Washing her face quickly in the bathroom she changes into her training uniform and waits for Sir Olsson, but at least an hour passes, and no one has even come to offer her breakfast. Kai isn’t kidding when he says he prepared something for them in the greenhouse. There is a small round table decorated with vines along the legs and flower petals scattered on the ground. The table is filled with pastries and steamed plates, the sun glinting off the glasses. It’s like a scene straight out of a fairytale painting, something she might see in one of the many books Harbin had her looking at. She feels as if she is being treated like a princess despite her plain attire of a white cotton shirt and black-dyed silk pants, still, clothes she never imagined herself wearing but nothing close to what a princess or royalty would ever wear. “Oh, you weren’t kidding,” Serenia mumbles as Harbin leads her into a large office with walls lined with bookshelves and a large oak table in the middle of the room with tons more books and instruments on top, most of the chairs covered as well. “What is this place?” she asks. “It’s my office,” Harbin answers with a giddy grin, spreading his arms wide like a child showing off his creation. Serenia is excited for her first day of training, she barely slept a wink the entire night despite knowing being exhausted isn’t going to help her, there was nothing she could do to fall asleep. Their conversation is interrupted by a curt knock at the door and the guard that Sir Olsson placed at the door enters. “His Royal Highness, Sir Kai, is requesting permission to –” “Let me in, Viktor! You have no right to guard the door!” Kai bellows from outside the door, which the guard promptly closes behind him. Sir Olsson lets out an exhausted sigh and a small chuckle. “Well, I believe that’s my cue to end this conversation, as lovely as it has been, my lady.” Serenia stands up with him to walk him to the door, fiddling with her fingers the entire way, unsure of how to properly see someone off. “This has been an absolute delight and pleasure, Miss Hansen. I look forward to the next time I see you, which is hopefully on the training grounds,” Sir Olsson says and picks up her hand to place a polite kiss on the back of her hand in farewell before seeing himself out.
