While I Find My Mates”

Hot…

It was so hot. My body was burning with desire and something….else.

My eyelids felt heavy.

I opened them.

Kael’s red eyes held mine as his teeth pressed against my pulse, with an ancient gesture of dominance and possession that every werewolf understood.

I looked by my side. Three other Alphas surrounded me, their wolves rising to the primal display, their hands all over my body.

My breasts were spilled over Kael’s huge sexy chest, my nipples perking up with desire.

“You are mine,” Kael’s deep voice growled, the golden thread that connected us vibrating with possessiveness and obsession.

“Ours, you mean,” Lucien corrected, glaring at Kael and encircling my waist with his huge possessive arm.

Asher took my feet and kissed it, then ran his tongue seductively all the way to my thigh, his blue sapphire eyes staring intensely at me as he did. His lustful touch and stare made my cunt quiver, the dampness between my thighs readying me.

“Don’t forget me,” Rowan growled, grabbing my chin and kissing me, his hot tongue intertwining with mine as it played games with my mouth. My eyes rolled back in pleasure.

I should have been terrified. Four legendary Alphas, four golden bonds blazing between us, four sets of wolf eyes tracking my every breath with predatory sexual intensity.

But I wasn’t afraid.

Because deep in my chest, something ancient was finally waking. Something that had been sleeping, waiting, buried beneath years of abuse and shame.

My wolf.

And she was magnificent.

Four months ago

I was still sleeping soundly when someone poured a bucket of ice water all over me.

“Argh! What’s this?!” I screamed as I jerked awake. Some of the water had gotten into my lungs and I started to cough violently.

“Rise and shine, sister dear,” a familiar wicked voice said.

Celeste. Of course. Who else would it be?

I got up, wiping the water off my face. Water was dripping from my hair and neck. Then I glared at her.

WHACK!

She immediately slapped me across the face.

“Who are you looking at with that cursed eye of yours, witch!”

My cheek throbbed with pain yet I said nothing. Just stared at her.

Celeste already had on a full makeup early in the morning.

“Full makeup at five in the damn morning!” I thought.

Hair curled perfectly. She’d probably been up for an hour just to look this good while she tortured me.

“What do you want?” I croaked.

“Language.” She dropped the bucket, “Get up. I need you to clean the whole house before tonight.”

I sighed. Then my eye caught the mattress I usually slept on and noticed it was completely drenched.

Great. I’d be sleeping in a wet bed tonight. Again.

“The ceremony’s not until eight,” I said.

“And? You think this house is going to clean itself?” Celeste put her hands on her hips. “The ballroom, entrance hall, both dining rooms, the kitchen, all three guest bathrooms, and the gardens. Everything. I want it spotless.”

“That’s going to take all day.”

“Then you better get started.”

I wanted to argue. Wanted to tell her to screw off, clean her own damn house.

But I knew it won’t end well. The last time I talked back at the bitch, my stepmother locked me up in the attic for three days and three days and three nights without food or water.

So I kept quiet and started wiping my bed.

“Smart girl,” Celeste said. She walked around my tiny room…..if you could even call it that.

“You know what did happening tonight right?”

“The Bonding Ceremony,” I said boredly.

“The most important night of my life.” She examined her nails. Blood red polish, perfectly done. “Four Alphas. Four chances at a mate bond. Can you imagine?! Of course you can’t imagine! You aren’t even invited not to talk of having one! Ah!”

She started to cackle.

I didn’t say anything. Just balled up the wet sheets.

“Kael Blackthorn,” she continued, like I’d asked. “They say he’s the strongest Alpha in generations. Brutal in a fight. Those red eyes? They say he’s never lost a battle. And that body…” She fanned herself dramatically.

I rolled my eyes where she couldn’t see.

“Then there’s Lucien Ashford. Cold, calculating, brilliant. He runs half the pack alliances in the region. Rich as hell too. And Rowan Everhart…..God, he’s gorgeous. Wild, untamed. They say he shifts faster than any wolf alive.” She sighed. “And Asher Stormwood. Charming, funny, but dangerous when he needs to be.”

“Sounds great,” I muttered.

“It will be. For me.” She stepped closer.

The spicy smell of her expensive perfume floated to my nose.

“You know what the best part is?”

“What?”

“You don’t get to go.”

There it was.

“I know.”

“Say it.”

I gritted my teeth. “I’m not allowed at pack ceremonies.”

“Why?” She asked, like she didn’t know. Bitch.

“Because I don’t have a wolf.”

“Exactly.” She smiled, all teeth. “Thats coz you are not one of us! A werewolf without a wolf! Ah! That’s just a human. You’re just… human. Weak. Pathetic. No wolf, no pack, no future. You’re nothing, Aria.”

No matter how many times she said this and trust me, she had said it many times, it still hurt me to hear it. Because it was true.

In a world where your worth was determined by your wolf, having no wolf was a nightmare.

I was twenty years old now and yet still no shift. No connection to that primal power everyone else felt.

Broken. That’s what I was.

“I need to start cleaning,” I said quietly.

“Yes, you do.” Celeste headed for the door.

“And Aria?”

“What?”

“Don’t even think about sneaking out tonight. If you set foot off this property, there will be consequences. Understood?”

“Understood.”

“Good. Have fun scrubbing toilets while I find my mates.”

She left. The door didn’t slam…..she was too classy for that. Just clicked shut softly, which somehow felt

The cold water from the shower ran through my body, washing away the blood stains.Definitely not my blood,I was barely touched. But the blood of Marcus's hybrids, the wolves we had lost, the violence that had painted me from head to toe.Kael's hands were gentle as he washed it away, but I could feel his restraint through the bond. The need to claim, to reassure himself I was alive, to erase the fear he had felt when that power had exploded out of me."I'm okay," I said softly."You collapsed.""I collapsed because I used too much power. Not because I was hurt." I turned in his arms, pressing against his naked body. The hot water cascaded over both of us. "Kael, I'm fine."His red eyes met mine. "You scared the hell out of me. When you pulled from all four bonds at once" His jaw clenched. "I felt it. Felt you draining me. And I would have given you everything, every last drop, if it meant keeping you alive.""I know." I reached up, cupping his face. "I felt it too. Your strength,

The first guard made the mistake of moving forward to attack me.I didn't even move. I just grabbed his arm, I used the speed he came with to attack me against him, and slammed him face-first into the stone floor. The sound of his cracked skull echoed through the chamber."In rage mixed with excitement, I asked, anyone else?"The remaining nineteen guards paused out of fear.Behind me were my four Alphas. Four mighty wolves, snarling and ready to tear apart anyone who dares to come close. The Elders had risen from their seats, backing toward the exits."Stop them," James commanded the guards. "Kill the Alphas if you have to, but the girl must be alive.""You just made the second mistake," I said softly. Then all hell broke loose.Three guards rushed Kael. Bad idea. His mighty black wolf tore through them like they were paper, jaws closing around throats, claws ripping through flesh. “Blood..”Blood sprayed across the ancient stone.Lucien's gray wolf moved with careful planning

“It's two days before the Council meeting”.I should have been focused on strategy, on preparing my arguments, on learning everything I could about Elder politics.Instead, Rowan pinned against the training room wall with his mouth on my throat."This is a terrible idea," I gasped as his teeth scraped over my pulse."Terrible ideas are my specialty." His hands held my thighs, lifting me until my legs wrapped around his waist. "Tell me to stop, he whispered”I couldn't. My wolf was purring, pressing closer, demanding more.We had been sparring just training, nothing sexual. But somewhere between the tenth takedown and my successful counterattack, the energy had shifted. Become charged. Dangerous."The others..""Are busy." His lips found mine, rough and demanding. "Lucien's on a conference call. Kael's meeting with his generals. Asher's doing reconnaissance. It's just us."Finally, my wolf purred. Ours. Want. Need."Rowan...""Say yes." His amber eyes blazed with his wolf. "S

"There's someone in the forest."The four Alphas froze, their good-natured teasing dissipating in the cold air."Where?" Kael’s tone was all Alpha command and it went straight to my flipping dick.I indicated the row of trees where I'd spotted the shadow."There. Just beyond the oak trees. They've been watching us."Rowan was already on the move, midstep. His wolf leapt through the bathroom window, a shower of glass and wood fragments flying in his wake as he hit the ground running.“Rowan, wait!” Asher began, but he was out the door."Fuck." Lucien pulled out his phone. "I'm calling security."Kael pulled me out of the bath, and enveloped me in a towel. "Get dressed. Now.""I can fight""Not until you can get your wolf under control." His red eyes blazed. "You shifted twice in one day.Your body needs rest, not another battle."I wanted to argue, but he was right. I could feel the exhaustion pulling at me, my wolf whimpering in the back of my mind.Tired, she admitted. But I s

  • The Four Alphas' chosen mate    "Awakening"

I woke to the sound of dripping water and the smell of mold.My head felt like it had been split open with an axe. Everything hurts,my neck where they'd injected me, my wrists bound with silver chains, my chest where the four bonds were screaming.Kael. Asher. Lucien. Rowan.I could feel them through the connections, their rage and fear and desperation bleeding into me.They were looking for me. Tearing apart the territory trying to find me.But they were too far away.I forced my eyes open. Concrete walls. A single bare bulb hanging from the ceiling. No windows. The room was maybe ten feet square, empty except for the chains bolted to the wall that held me.A basement. Or a bunker. Somewhere underground."She's awake."I jerked my head toward the voice. A man stood in the doorway tall, muscular, with scars covering half his face. Not the wolf who'd taken me, but clearly working with them."Where am I?" My voice came out raspy."Somewhere your precious Alphas will never find you."

  • The Four Alphas' chosen mate    "Shattered Illusions"

I woke to sunlight streaming through unfamiliar windows and an empty bed.The sheets beside me were cold. Kael was gone.My body ached in places I'd never felt before, a delicious soreness that made heat creep up my neck as memories of last night flooded back. His hands, his mouth, the way he'd looked at me like I was something precious even while he took me apart.I touched the bite mark on my shoulder. Not a claiming mark we hadn't gone that far but a possessive reminder nonetheless. The door opened. I grabbed the sheet, covering myself. But it wasn't Kael.A woman stood there. Mid-thirties, beautiful in a cold way, wearing an expensive suit. Her eyes swept over me with obvious disdain."So you're the wolfless girl." Her voice dripped with contempt. "How disappointing.""Who are you?""Sienna Blackthorn. Kael's mother." She stepped into the room like she owned it. Which, I supposed, she did. "Get dressed. We need to talk."Ten minutes later, I sat in a formal sitting room, still
