Chapter 25

Davina's POV continued

Walking to the door, it was barely hanging on the hinge, the room was torn through as if looking for something.

What caught my attention the most was the small box on its side next to my father's desk.

It looked untouched even though it was knocked over but the lock was no longer on it.

This box didn't belong in this room, I've seen it before but only ever in my father's closet, locked up tight.

I was always curious about it, I used to try to get him to show me what was inside but he would always take it from me then hide it again telling me,

"You will be able to see when you come of age my little princess, I promise, but not before then"

Then he would pat my head before pulling me in for a hug.

I walked over to it before picking it up then turning to face Ragnar, he looked up at me before looking at the box I was holding.

"What is it?"

"I don't know, but I've never seen it unlocked and it isn't mine, it was my dads."
