Ashley POV

When I realized Tyson had finally ditched me in the living room, full of unknown people and drunk idiots, I decided to find my way to the kitchen.

Feeling lightheaded and wasted, I somehow managed to stumble into the kitchen.

"I'm the one, yeah." I sang along to the music playing as I filled an empty cup with water from the kitchen sink.

"Hey, beautiful." A voice suddenly said and I turned around slowly to see a guy approaching me.

"I'm not interested." I told him, moving away from the sink as my head spun.

"But, I am." He cackled, bumping into me, causing me to stumble against the wall.

"Well, that's too bad, huh?" I laughed at him, leaning against the wall as my vision cleared a bit.

"Shut up." He snapped, raising his hand to slap me.

"And why should she listen to you?" I realized Tyson was leaning against the refrigerator, his arms crossed over his chest.

"And who might you be?" The guy turned to face Tyson.

"Her boyfriend?" He continued and I watched as Tyson slid

Ashley POVI went downstairs and found my way to the kitchen. As soon as I entered, my eyes landed on an untouched cake resting on a baking tray on the counter.I looked around the kitchen to see if it was a trap, but the idea seemed ridiculous. Then I approached the counter, slicing a piece of cake and grabbing a plate from the cupboard. I took a seat at the counter, eating the cake in silence. When I was finished, I washed the plate at the sink and placed it in the dryer. Then I headed back to my bedroom and went to the bathroom to prepare for the party. After a warm bath, I wrapped a towel around myself as I returned to my bedroom. I gasped in surprise when I saw Tyson lying on my bed."Tyson?" I stared at him, "What the heck are you doing in my bedroom?" I snapped, moving towards the door."I told you I would be here by 8 o'clock and it's..." He stopped mid-sentence when he looked at me.I scoffed as he slowly sat up, his eyes roaming over me. "You said a few meters from my house

Ashley POV "Hey, Mason." I called him in the school hallway. He turned around, scanning the crowd until his eyes found me. He smiled as I walked toward him. "Ashley, what's up?" He asked while we both stepped aside to the lockers, letting more students pass by. "Classes, duh." I sighed, spreading my hands to the sides. He chuckled, leaning against the nearest locker, "So, what can I do for you?" "I'm looking for Tyson." I scanned the halls until my eyes landed on a familiar face across the hallway; the redhead creep named Ivan. He was munching on a donut, his gaze fixed on me. As he strolled away, he shot me a salute. Is that dude stalking me? "He should be at his locker by now." Mason caught my attention as he looked down the hall, crossing his arms over his chest. "Making out with some random girl, again?" I assumed holding onto the straps of my bag from my shoulders. "Probably." He shrugged. "But why are you looking for him?" He asked, curiosity in his eyes. "I wanted

Ashley POV "So, everything's been okay here?" Tyson's tone went a bit tense as he walked towards my closet. "Yeah." I admitted, watching him open my closet and then close it again. "I only skipped classes because my dad needed an extra hand at work and he wanted some father-daughter time." "Good girl." He paused, walking over to my desktop setup and he added, "But, you know, you should really warn a guy before showing up in a bikini." "Maybe next time." I smirked, the room suddenly feeling warmer. "I will hold you to that." He told me, leaning against the desk. "Did you miss me at all last week, by the way?" "You wish." I scoffed as I stood up to catch my hair in a messy bun. Tyson grinned, watching me tie up my hair. "Oh, come on, love, admit it. You missed me a little." "Keep dreaming, loser." I told him with a light chuckle, folding the towel and resting it on my bed. He held his hands up in mock surrender. Then after a quiet moment, he asked, "So, what's the plan for

  • The Gangleader and Me   Chapter Ten

Ashley POV It was finally the weekend! I hadn't been to campus last week, my dad needed my help at his office, so we ended up having a "take your child to work" week. I figured he just wanted some father-daughter time, but he could only express it through business. We hardly ever get to spend time together, but I always try to avoid complaining. The same goes for my stepmother, she's hardly around, mostly caught up in her world of fashion and modeling. We don't get along much, so it's usually just me and Gracie, the housemaid, in this mansion. After watching a movie in the entertainment room, I decided to relax by the pool in the backyard, slipping into my black bikini. I dove in and as I surfaced, I flicked my wet hair back and started to float, letting the water support me. "Ashley." I heard a voice and turned to see Gracie, the housemaid approaching from the back door. I swam to the edge of the pool and pulled myself out as she handed me a towel. "Someone is here to se

  • The Gangleader and Me   Chapter Nine

Ashley POV "Doesn’t have to be mutual today. There’s always tomorrow...or the day after that." He reached out and tilted my chin. Reflex kicked in and I smacked his hand away without hesitation. Mason was glaring and Chase was already rising from his seat. "Start moving." Ivan’s smile faded a notch. "Come on, don’t be like that..." "Ivan." That notorious voice interjected. We all turned as Tyson approached the table, that lazy, arrogant smirk on his face. He walked right up to Ivan and ruffled his hair like some annoying older brother. Ivan flinched and instantly shot up from the table, clearly uncomfortable. "What do you think you’re doing?" Tyson asked, still smiling, but the threat behind it was razor-sharp. Ivan didn’t answer. I just sat there, watching the tension shift the air around us. Tyson didn’t even look at me, but somehow...I knew he’d come because of me. "Nothing...sorry," Ivan muttered, stepping back. "I was just checking in. Everything’s good." Without wait
