The Déjà Vu

Lunatte got up from the bed. The quintuplets were asleep. She walked over to her dresser and got dressed. Lunatte has a beautiful voice and uses it to earn extra income. She is very hardworking. Whatever she can do to earn money, she will do it. She got a job singing in one of the famous bars downtown. It’s the Imperial bar.

Lunatte put the makeup on her pretty face. Not to beautify herself, but to make herself look very ugly. The eyebrows that she purposely made were too black and thick, the powder was too pale, combined with bright red lipstick, the big mole on the corner of her lips, and don’t forget her frizzy wig. Lunatte has built her own image as an ugly singer as a branding. Because in that way, Lunatte feels that more bars are interested in using her services.

‘Finished!’

***

Russell just arrived at the airport. He was going to pick up his cousin Jack, who had just returned from France. Since his arrival, many have flocked to Russel because of his very cool appearance. Russell looks like the most precious diamond in the silver crowd. Russel Houston cursed inwardly. His face still looked as cold as the first time he set foot in the airport. He didn’t come with his bodyguard. These women kept trying to urge him to be closer. Russell tried to ignore them. He walked faster and faster. Finally, he was able to sit in the lobby waiting.

Russell looked at his watch. Jack’s late. Ten minutes had passed, and the man was still nowhere to be seen.

“Ah, look. It’s Russell Houston! The president of the Houston Group! He’s a noble son! And his appearance is so majestic! How can he be so handsome like that even when he’s just sitting and doing nothing?! Ah, I want to talk to him! I can’t help myself! I will take my shot!”

Russell could clearly hear the words. He cursed inside. ‘Shit!’

Russell hates women. That’s a fact.

‘I despise women so much! They are the most annoying creatures!’

“Mr. Houston, may I sit beside you?” asked the woman in her soft voice. The woman even deliberately showed off her cleavage. Intending to seduce Russel, which actually makes Russell disgusted by the woman’s behavior. This is not the first time women have tried to talk to him. This was the fifth time, and Russel was losing his temper.

He averted his eyes from the business magazine he was reading while waiting for his cousin and stared at this loathsome woman with his sharp gaze.

“You slut. Deliberately showing off your cleavage to me, hoping that I’d be interested in talking to you, is that it? Speak in a disgusting tone interspersed with sighs? Are you shameless, miss?”

“U-uh?” The woman before him looked confused and embarrassed at the same time.

“Disappear from my sight! Or I’ll do something terrible that will make you even more embarrassed! And never want to leave your house again!” he said so rudely.

“Whoa, Russell!” finally came from behind. The cousin saw how Russell treated the woman. The woman immediately left quickly with her red face feeling embarrassed and almost crying. This cousin of his is indeed very cruel when he doesn’t want to be disturbed. Especially in women.

Russell gave Jack an annoyed look. “Long time. You made me wait ten minutes later than the set time. You’re wasting my precious time,” Russell complained.

Jack just laughed. “Come on. It’s only ten minutes. Not very valuable.”

“My ten minutes could be worth a million dollars, Jack.”

Jack just laughed. “Come on, cousin. Don’t be too harsh on women. Did you see that? She almost cried,” Jack said as he put his arm around Russel’s shoulder. Russell pushed the arm away.

“Let us go home. Mother said she can’t wait to meet you,” Russel shifted the topic because he was too lazy to discuss it. Jack just laughed about it.

“It’s not too late. I still want to have fun. Let’s go to the Imperial bar. I haven’t been there in a long time.”

Russell seemed to mind. But inevitably, he granted a wish from his cousin.

At the imperial Bar.

Jack and Russel arrived at the bar just as Lunatte, with her ugly face, was singing. She is almost done. Only one more song and she will be ready to go home.

“Buddy, give me vodka,” Jack ordered. While waiting for his drink. Jack’s attention was stolen by the figure of a very ugly woman who was singing. Even from the moment he entered the bar, an ugly woman’s figure appeared in his sight.

“Who is she? Do you know her?” asked Jack to Russel, who does not seem interested in the ugly woman.

Russel stared at the woman. “No,” Russell replied simply.

“She looks different from the other girls here. Her appearance is very striking!” Jack said. Jack seemed very excited about the woman who he thought was very ugly. Jack brought his face closer to Russel’s and whispered.

“She’s the ugliest woman I’ve ever seen!” he whispered, accompanied by a giggle. Russell stares flatly. Not really interested in the topic.

“I’ll greet her. Come on!” he said. He immediately approached the stage. Russell looked at his friend flatly. He really wasn’t interested.

Jack talked to the ugly woman and got her to come over to where Russell was sitting now.

Russell still wasn’t the least bit interested. But then he heard the woman speak. His gaze immediately shifted completely to the woman.

“Speak again.”

Jack gave Russell a confused look. Suddenly, Russell joins in the conversation. Even though his cousin said that he was not interested at all.

Lunatte did not respond. She just stared at Russell.

Russell narrowed his eyes. ‘Her voice is so familiar. Have I ever met her before? But where?’

Meanwhile, Lunatte also experienced the same déjà vu. She stared at Russell a little longer. She looks familiar with the handsome face of this foreign man.

‘Have I seen him before? His handsome face looks familiar. He… looks like someone I know. But who?’
