Chapter 95

I quietly looked at the young women in the mirror, barely able to recognize myself. A confident, strong woman who not long ago was just a naive gipsy girl who had her long chestnut hair braided into a ponytail was now staring back at me.

While a happiness sparkle danced in my green eyes, a smile spread across my face, making Sasha growled in annoyance.

“Stop moving or I will never be able to finish in time.”

I gave her a small nod as I watched her finish her magic. Sasha applied a cherry lipstick to my lips to match the purple eye makeup she chose for tonight’s event.

“Sabine, you look beautiful,” mom whispered as she fought back the tears that threatened to roll down her cheeks.

“Alma, you are going to ruin your makeup,” Sasha blurted out, making mom shake her head in understanding.

I looked at the woman who raised me like I was hers, giving me all the love and affection a mother would give to her child. She looked beautiful with her hair styled into a bun and dressed in a dark blue
