Chapter 41 Miracles 

Zurac kneeled down and held Tarkik up with his hand on his collar bone.

"Emma, don't touch the poor man's back, it's been burnt to the bone," he said firmly and I gasped softly and looked up into Tarkik's eyes.

"You saved me,'' I said and cupped his cheeks. He attempted to smile and groaned instead.
