Syria’s POV

"What are you doing here?" I asked her, completely shocked. I didn’t expect to see her today. But even with the surprise, I walked toward her and pulled her into a tight hug. I missed her. I didn’t even try to hide it. It felt like it had been forever since we last hung out like this.

“Pack up,” she said with a grin. “We’re going to a bar later.”

My eyes widened. “Wait—what? You mean... does Uncle know about this?”

She rolled her eyes like I just asked the dumbest question ever. “No, of course not. I told him something else entirely. I said we were just having a coffee date or whatever.”

I let out a laugh. “You really know how to handle him, huh?”

She shrugged. “Well, you’re my best friend. I know what makes him tick.”

That night, I decided to go all in. I put on the sexiest outfit I owned, the one I’d been saving for a moment just like this. I even did my makeup with extra care. Luckily, Uncle wasn’t home when I snuck out, so he didn’t get a chance to see what I was weari
