Kael’s POV

I smiled, “Thank you, brother.”

I tapped his shoulder, “I'm leaving for now.”

"Alright, go check on Syria. Valentin’s probably done tending to her by now."

As he was about to walk away, I halted him.

"Hey," I said. "Thanks... again for everything."

He looked back, his face easing. After that, he grinned at me. That classic, brotherly grin.
