Leigh woke up to the pounding sound coming from her door. It looked like someone wanted to demolish it.
She did not want to entertain whoever was outside her door, but the pounding continued causing a tidal wave in her head.
“Coming!” She called out irritably, crawled off her bed, and walked like a zombie to the door.
She had a rough night and slept later than usual.
It was not all about work. Axel was being difficult last night. He wanted to come to his father’s house, but she got home late, so her son greeted her with a major tantrum.
“What’s wrong?” She asked her annoying early-morning visitor, who responded by rattling her door. They were furiously hard and fast that she thought the hinges had gone off.
“Have you gone nuts?” Her father’s angry retort greeted her.
