“AHHHH!” Both of them scream and make a run for it. The worm is at least fifty feet high and very thick. It lets out a high pitched cry which nearly bleeds Lavi and Thena’s ears but they do not stop running. The giant worm slams itself on the ground, missing Lavi by inches. Back in Pir, Timur is thinking hard. He heard the disturbing news about how Lady Ariel was allegedly killed by the Crown Prince and his mistress. After the news broke, he heard that Anna had been taken captive but Lavi helped her escape and now they are on the run. “How am I going to find them?” He mutters to himself. “Hic!” Anna lets out an inadvertent hiccup. Lavi pours water in a glass and offers it to her. “Here you go,” he says and puts the glass in her hands. “You can rest. I will stay up all night and-” Anna puts the glass away and gently touches his shoulder. To Lavi’s surprise, she pushes him on the bed and lies beside him. “What the hell are you doing?” He frowns. “This is better,” she murmurs. “You need rest and so do I. It is best if we rest together on this bed.” Lavi can see her face turning red in embarrassment. Anna is suddenly feeling very shy and fidgets a little. The bed is quite small; so small that their bodies are in close proximity. He cannot help but gaze at her affectionately. The bright rays of the sun break Lavi’s sleep the next morning and he slowly opens his eyes. Instantly, a welcoming scent of cocoa hits his nostrils and he inhales it deeply, calming his soul. Anna’s sleeping figure appears in front of him and he gazes at her.She is not mumbling in her sleep but rather, her lips are curled into a pretty smile as if she is having a good dream. Timur strolls through the lavish corridor which is illuminated by several silver lights. Unlike the dreary castle of Faika, this one is more lively and bright. The furniture is squeaky clean and the walls are made with the finest white marbles. The throne room is double the size than that of Faika but instead of a throne, there is only a round table with several chairs on the sides. Only two chairs are put in the front. While the chairs look no different than the rest, no one else sits on it because it is reserved for the Emperor and Empress. The Emperor does not care though. He only cares about his country more than a piece of furniture.A dark haired man in his late twenties is standing in the middle of the throne room, waiting for Timur. The whole clan cheers loudly and loud music begins to play around them. A few people in the crowd push their way towards a large ground where a traditional dance is about to take place. Anna nearly loses her balance when someone accidentally strolls past her but Lavi holds her waist, steadying her.“Thank you,” she mutters, feeling shy. Lavi clears his throat.“Let us get some drinks,” he suggests. Anna nods and follows Lavi, keeping closeby. He does not let go of her as they pass the crowd towards the drinks’ store. Anna can feel the festive vibes around her and for the first time, she wishes she could have seen everything with her own eyes. Lavi seems to have noticed her sadness. Snowflakes are slowly falling from the sky, curtaining the whole forest in white. The trees are slightly swaying in the night breeze while large mountains can be seen in the distance, cold and dark.
