Alyssa's pOV.

I slump on the ground, my high spirits from earlier quenched and crumpled to ashes beneath my feet, why did I have to be so stupid? Why did the mate pull have to render me so helpless that I had to succumb to such vile temptations.

Tears gather in my eyes and blurs my vision for sometime, I sit there thinking about my failure, now that I have finished riding my high, the kiss is at the back of my mind and the humiliation is burning hot as the tears slip free, making slow trails on my cheeks. Why did the Alpha have to look at me with those steamy eyes and turn my insides to mush? Why did I forget to steel myself and turn away from his piercing stare? Why did I allow myself to be loose and indulge in selfish desires when I knew that it would not end well for me?

I blame it all on the mate pull, I couldn't control myself because of its power, if it wasn't for that mate pull, I would not have given in to temptation of his lips.
