CHAPTER 62

Grayson looked at his watch impatiently on a Monday afternoon and tapped his foot as he reached for his cup of coffee at Havana Groove Bistro. His brows furrowed as he read a message from Thomas.

After thirty more minutes, Grayson heard someone cleared his throat and he looked up with irritation to see Jordan standing a few feet away from him.

“Very classy of you, Cunningham,” he snapped. “I wonder how you’re still in the business with that trait of yours.”

Jordan ignored him and sat across from him and signaled a waiter to serve him coffee as well.

“I’m pretty sure you know why I’m late,” he snapped back. He crossed one leg over the other and leaned back on his chair. “I have to tend to my wife and make sure that she’s doing okay before leaving to meet you.”

Grayson only glared at him coldly.

“So? Why’d you want to meet with me?” Jordan asked dryly. “Don’t tell me you’re here to beg me to give you time to see my wife? That’s unlikely.”
