CHAPTER 67

Grayson got out of his private plane and bounded down the stairs where Thomas is waiting for him with a gray Mercedes Benz behind on a Saturday morning. After thanking the crew, he immediately got inside the car behind the driver while his secretary occupied the opposite side.

“These are the documents that Mr. Nathan wanted me to hand to you the minute you arrive,” Thomas said formally as he handed him an envelope. “It’s about the driver, Simon Ryder, who was the last person who saw Rachel Hamilton alive.”

“How about that black box that Nathan had mentioned?” Grayson asked as he pulled out the documents. “Was he able to retrieve the file already?”

“Not yet, sir,” Thomas replied. “He already got the court order with the consent of Mr. Cunningham. He will see to it on Monday first thing. He flew in yesterday to take care of it.”
