*Aria’s POV

The morning sun bathed the Citadel’s training grounds in gold, the light glinting off the stone walls and the edge of Ronan’s sword as he raised it high.

“Again!” Ronan barked, his voice firm but patient.

Kael and Elara, barefoot in the grass, squared their shoulders. Kael, dark-haired and sharp-eyed, bristled with restless energy, while Elara, silver-haired like me, stood calm, her eyes glowing faintly with an unnatural light.

They were only five, but Ronan insisted on teaching them the basics — not to train them for battle, but to help them understand themselves.

Their powers were… unpredictable.

And the last thing I wanted was for my children to grow up afraid of what they were.

I leaned against the wooden post, arms crossed, watching them with a small, proud smile tugging at my lips.
