When I woke up, there was total silence.

I wasn't outside, surrounded by dead bodies and trees.

The first thing I noticed was the sheets beneath me. It felt too soft, too clean and unfamiliar. My body was sore and still bruised in several places so I knew the torture was real, it wasn't just some dream.

I groaned in pain as I sat up, disoriented.

Where the hell was I?

The room was spacious, and the four stone walls around me were etched with silver symbols I didn’t recognize. High, arched windows spread across the space with the softness of daylight peering through.

A mirror on the far side opposite the bed caught my reflection and the sight made me recoil.

I looked like death.

My hair was tangled, skin pale, lips cracked, but worst of all… my eyes. Those weren't my eyes which had once been so full of life. It was the haunted look of a cornered animal that stared back at me.

Was this what I had become?

A woman who had once been Luna, now reduced to nothing but a fugitive
