Chapter 12

“Arrghh, can I get a break”, Lily says as her phone rings. She needed a break, looking at the screen it was Mama, at least she could complain to her.

“Hello mama,” Lily greeted her mum, but the grave silence just revealed that something was wrong.

“Ma, are you okay? Should I come over there?”

“Lily, your brother is sick. Philip is sick, I don’t think it’s good. The doctor said he would run some tests to find out what exactly is wrong”

“Mama, I’m coming over”. Lily replied with a scared voice.

“You have work tomorrow, don’t you?” Her mama asked.

Lily couldn’t mention that Mr Damson had asked her to leave and that she might have potentially left her job.

“Yes, mama. Is he good Phillip? Can we FaceTime? I’m still worried.”

“Oh, yes we can, he’s asleep now, once he’s awake I’ll let you know.”

“Alright, ma.”

The call ends and puts Lily in confusion and jeopardy of not understanding what to do. She could not let Mama worry about her job, she also could not let her know everything that had h
