Chapter 9

DAMSON

Work was lagging.

Damson was feeling the effects of not having a secretary in his office.

He couldn't seem to find where anything was filed.

The other secretary who tried to fill in for her pending the time he found another competent one kept on getting on his nerves.

“Has he always been this irritable or was she just plain dumb?” he had caught himself musing on several occasions.

He needed to find a new competent secretary and fast at that. A part of him thought Lily would be the perfect fit but the other part of him vehemently declined.

He didn't want someone who had any sort of familiarity with him. It would breed contempt and he couldn't allow that. Besides, women weren't his cup of tea any longer. Every one of them he became familiar with always gave him a reason to regret meeting them.

Fin had been advising him to extend the opportunity to her since Damson had told him about her going for an interview and all instead of stressing himself trying to get someone e
