FAMILIARIZATION

LILY’S POV

The conversation with Mr. Damson had ended abruptly as Lily hurriedly hushed her goodbyes and went out to meet Fin.

Lily and Fin had gone to a nearby restaurant, Fin had mentioned that it was to make her comfortable and she was happy to have another positive energy outside of Mr.Damson’s daily scrutiny of anything and everything she had done.

Breaking the ice after finding the right spot, Fin had asked with concern on his face.

“Are you good? I suspect not. You sounded so desperate to get the job back”

“Yes, I did. Something personal came up and I had no other option than to reach out. Getting a new job would take a long time too.”, Lily explained as briefly as she could.

“Would you like to share?” Fin asked persistently to know why.

“My mama called me about my brother’s health and I think it's wise to keep my job to help with whatever finances might arise”. Lily had unconsciously blurted out what exactly bothered her.
