It was late in the afternoon when the festivities at Morocco kingdom ended. I was waiting for my friend, Chloe and her boyfriend who had travelled down with me for the rites. I had been reminiscing on how the festival had played out and I was pleased to be here. For someone like me, being the only princess and the heroine to the Callista Kingdom, I had to perform excellently at the festivities.

Chloe had been my childhood friend who had stuck so close to me like a sister although she wasn't from a royal family. She had come with her boyfriend all the way from the city to see me since her parents died while Alex has been the one sponsoring her tuition f*e since then. Alex really looks appealing. They've been together since their second year and adore each other.

Chloe is also adored by Alex’s parents. They truly adore Chloe more than Alex, such that they always side with Chloe against their son whenever they both have a fight. I really wish I could find someone like Alex. He is very kind and sexy. Myself and Chloe grew up in the same neighborhood. We got separated when she lost her parents and had to go to the city to seek greener pastures where she met Alex.

Several years later, we reconnected and she promised to come with me for the festivities with her boyfriend who had been sponsoring her.

Chloe said, “Hey Lyriana!” she was walking towards me with Alex.

“Let's go get some cocktails tonight. We need to celebrate. I don't know when we are going to see each other again and you won't say no. I’ll come back and pick you up with Alex's car by 6pm.”

She left hurriedly without waiting for a response. I took a vehicle to the garage, worked for a few hours and then I went back to my room. I took my bath, made my face up moderately. I always wanted to look natural, so I wore my dress with matching heels. Chloe had already texted me that I should put on a red dress. She sent another message when it was exactly 5:45pm.

“Are you prepared for the party, babe?”I answered, “I will join you in 5 minutes. As I walked towards Alex's vehicle, Chloe and Alex looked surprised. “Will you tell me where you’ve been hiding this butt?” Aex commented.

According to what Chloe told me, Alex was a part time student who also worked in his father's firm in the city. Je was 5 years older than Chloe and I, even though he was in the same class with Chloe. Although Chloe was quite protective of me, she jokingly advised me to get a boyfriend.

“I really wish that you get laid tonight,” Chloe said.

“Oh, shut up please.”

I forced out a grin. I've never seen the nakedness of a man, never kissed a man, let alone getting intimate with a man.

We arrived at a luxurious club house where Alex drove us to. As we alighted for the car, we all walked towards the VIP section that has been reserved for us by Alex.

We got served with different sophisticated drinks based on Chloe's order. Alex and myself didn't even object because we trusted Chloe's judgement.

“Hey Lyriana, Let's move to the dance floor.”

We walked towards the dance floor. The music that was playing was Sia’s “Unstoppable .I could sense that faces were focused on me. I was irritated and quite embarrassed as I looked around the dance floor. Chloe and Alex were just kissing themselves without minding the onlookers. When I became uneasy, I returned to the bar to have my seat. It seems like the dance floor was only meant for couples and not singles like me. I took a sip leisurely. I focused on the bartender as it was chilly and amazing, but I needed something that was stronger.

“Can I have something stronger than this, pls?” I said as I dropped the glass of drink I was holding on the bar counter and took another.

“Can I have that, please?” I moved towards him slightly. “How do I take this?” I asked as I forced out a grin.

“You just gulp down a shot.” The bar attendant stated. My throat was terribly getting burnt by the tequila.

“Another thing, please,” I said as I changed the position of the small glass that I earlier placed on the counter. He offered me another shot and I took that in as well.

I looked around, I wanted to tweak. I've always been very good at it and the shof did exactly what I wanted. I reached the dance floor, but I cared less that the dance floor was for couples only, this time around. I was shaking my butt and I sensed that eyes were on me again.

For some reason, the more I perceived that eyes were on me, the more I increased the pace of my butt tweaking.

Is this what sexual desire looks like? I laughed out loud.

I felt that my body was pressed against someone else's while tweaking. As I wanted to yell at him to leave me, he held my a$$ tightly and I desperately loved the feeling and wanted him to grab the other pair.

I felt my pussy throbbed in the crotch of my thong just as a result of ass grabbing. I was surprised that I felt that way. My ass has never been grabbed that way by anyone. I didn't even know how I should react.

Our bodies were both swaying in unison. I was moving my body as he moved his. I felt goosebumps as he gripped my hands tightly, then he whirled me around. He held me close, he then swayed my ass against his crotch as my back was against his.

My hips were swaying to the beat of the song as I calmly gyrated at him.

“What is this that I am doing?” I silenced the thought.

While holding me, he swirled me once more. There, I encountered aan who sent shivers down my spine.

He was of a good height, he has blonde hair and he has ocean blue eyes. He was breathtaking. It was not easy taking my eyes off him. As if he was focused on me, he maintained his gaze on me. A man like him would definitely compliment his look- not to talk of a lady. With my eyes, I assessed his body structure. He has wide shoulders, the right proportion of muscles at the right places which complimented his looks.

He also had a tattoo on his shoulder but I just couldn't see where the tattoo image started on his shoulder. I knew he was older than me merely by his looks. But I didn't care about that.

Then he spoke.

“Do you mind if I get you more drinks, darling?”

I was still mindless as I assessed his looks further. It was when he cleared his throat after he swallowed his drink that I came to reality.

“Huh?” He smirked.

“Come on, let's get some drinks together.”

“Of course.” Then I realised that Chloe was watching all along.

“You must get laid tonight and lose your virginity.” I knew that was what filled her mind.

“I apologise. Do you want us to get more drinks, or leave this premises?” He asked

The jingling sound of the bells echoed through every stone of the keep, as if the fortress itself was howling in pain. The sound permeated my bones, sharper than any blade.Merek stood at the door. His face taut determination with sword in his hand. The blood of the fallen guard stained the stones at his feet which was a reminder that it wasn't a mere warning but rather a disclosure that death was lurking.I held the dagger that he had given me, I felt the warmness against my palm, slipped due to my sweaty hands. The air blew aggressively as it vibrated with chaos. Somewhere beyond the chamber, steels clashed against each other, there were agonised voices, and the roar of fire carried on the wind.Ryn’s eyes lightened up in the shadow where he hid, quietly appealing to me for a choice. He had risked so much to warn me despite being a young boy of his age. The words I had read earlier from the note tightened at my chest like fangs:Be careful of the one who stands closest. Even love c

My breath caught in my throat.Silence engulfed the chamber, yet I could feel the weight that hung in the air, my skin prickled as though movement were being traced by unseen eyes. I turned my ears to the far corner of the room where moonlight only half reached, leaving the other half cloaked in shadows.“Is anyone there?” My voice was steady even though my pulse beat faster against my ribs. I refused to sound like a prey. For a long moment, it was just the silence and stillness of the curtains and stone walls against the balcony door. A figure drifted slowly away from the shadows as if it had been expecting this exact confirmation. My hands held onto the dagger that was beneath my sleeves. Then, the figure stepped out of the shadow, and his face was lightened by the moon for me to see.My breath seized. It was neither an assassin nor a guard.“Ryn?” The name slipped from my mouth before I realized it.It was the young teenage squire, he stood there with his arms crossed, his eyes sea

The longer I stayed within the walls of Caer Thalor, the heavier it became. Maybe it is the way stone seems to absorb whispers here, swallowing voices until silence lingered. Or maybe it was the manner of the steward, Maevra always entered my room at the wrong time, as if she had always been standing at the door to my chamber. On the fifth day since I arrived, even the air carried a weight. However, Marek and Hallor, always vigilant, stayed close despite the uneasiness I noticed across Merek’s brow. His countenance depicted worry; he had always been used to strength, to certainty which was lacking in Care Thalor. As we walked across the inner courtyard that morning, he moved closer. “My lady, " he whispered, “I don't think we should stay here for long. This place….it watches.”Hallor, who was walking behind us nodded. “I agree with him.”I let out a breath. “Do you think this place is not safe enough?”Merek paused. “Well, it could be safe for now. But remember we are not free here.

The path that leads to Caer Thakor felt like a silver thread through valleys that seemed carved from shadow. The moon was dim, covered by thin clouds, casting the countryside into a muted pallor. The steady rhythm of hooves was audible so that I could hear them.It had been days since I left Callistan, and yet I couldn't let go of the feeling that my mother's insistence of leaving Callistan was more than she had claimed. She had said the reason it was for my own safety. But my mother was not someone who could tell me to leave Callista if it was not really important to her or her own ambition. The scent of pine was scattered through the earth by the cold wind. As I drove towards the narrow wooden bridge, the breeze blew my cloak and it fluttered. One of the guards called from behind.“Lady Elowen, I would suggest that we cross country one after the other because the river is swift as a result of the rain that fell last night.I gave a nod. “Then you should go first, Ser Merek.”He comp

The night has been unkind to me. Sleep was lurking around me yet I couldn't just sleep. The fire in the hearth was quenched into just a glow, and yes, I remained in my chair, unwilling to move. The rusted box that was beneath the floorboards was heavier than iron. It was as if my chest carried all the secrets in it. The warning that Gareth gave earlier replayed continuously in my mind: Remain quiet until we understand what this is about. But how is that even possible? Why would I even do that? How could I have looked at Alaric, sat with him, stood beside him and even spoken to him and not have seen any traces of truth in his eyes? How convenient will it be for me to pretend like nothing has changed, when everything has changed?I bowed my head in confusion as I leaned forward and reached for a chair. Silence enveloped the chambers like a graveyard. There was no sound at all except for the faint pop of wood that was in the fire and the rustling sound of the trees.I was deep in thought

The place was overwhelmed in two different kinds of silence – one kind was peaceful that would drown the halls in a deep sleep ... .and the kind that suggested that a crack was about to happen. But this night, it was the second kind of silence I stayed outside the chambers of Lady Elowen for minutes. I stayed long enough that even the touches on the wall easily flickered. Unlike her, she hasn't called me me nor sent a message to me. But I was sure that she had found something that should have stayed hidden. She had seen the letter and now I feel guilty for that such that I couldn't remove the weight of that off my chest.I knocked firmly but not loudly but there was no response and then I knocked again.“It's me, Gareth.” I said quietly. The door eventually cracked open after a long pause.“Gareth?” She said as she peeped through the gap.“Why haven't I heard anything from you for a while now? I asked. “Would you let me in?”She paused, then signalled for me to come in.Her room was
