Dalia’s POV

When the warriors finally dropped me far from Shadow Pack I watched them leave. I felt weak without my wolf, sure I still had my witch DNA, but I felt soulless. Empty.

There was an abandoned house near the field they took me to and I made my way to that, painfully slow. I still ached from the loss of my wolf.

The house was small and had no electricity, but it was stocked with candles, a 22 pistol, and random dehydrated foods. The bedroom consisted of a bed, a desk and a chair. I ate, drank some water, slept long and hard, and then got to work on my plans. Without a wolf I needed to rethink my approach, my abilities as a witch were less than satisfactory, I hadn’t ever honed the skills in truth. No time like the present, I was sure I still had a witch or two that were willing to help guide me.

Stealth was probably my best option though, I would need to sneak back into Shadow Pack, perhaps give Drake a different version of the truth so he might take me back in. Then I could

Viola’s POVWhen we finally reached pack gates and drove in I felt so much relief to be home. It didn’t take long after getting parked that I realized the quietness in the pack. ‘Father? We are back.’ I mind linked. ‘Where are you?’‘Good to hear you again Viola, I have some bad news.’ My father’s voice was angry, though I knew it wasn’t directed at me. ‘Stella is missing.’My own anger built up at that moment, ‘Who took her?’‘We have Alpha Brandon in custody. Dungeon.’I relayed the information to everyone else and took off at a dead run, reaching the dungeon within minutes. Alpha Brandon was chained to a chair, Danner and my father were both standing in front of him, and I was confused.‘You’re doing this with Danner here?’ I mind linked my father curiously.‘He is Stella’s mate.’ Alpha Brandon didn’t look flustered or concerned. Not even a little bit. Amelia walked past me and gripped Alpha Brandon by the neck.“You will speak.” Amelia’s voice was like a whip, ordering his atten

Viola’s POVWe talked for over two hours and my mother’s face darkened with everything that I had told her about Dalia, being bound, Drew, and everything in between. “Where is Dalia now?” Amelia asked.I shook my head. “I don’t know. He took her wolf and exiled her.”“And your father helped her keep the secret about who your mother was?” She pressed, making my mom’s lips flatten into a line.“Please understand, for him, you left. And we all thought you were dead. I didn’t have my wolf, and he saw no point in me being hurt further by not having a mother. He swore the pack to silence about you when I was around.” I explained before they were were even more upset.“It’s ok, Viola, we know that there were extenuating circumstances.” Avery patted my hand while looking at Amelia. “Why did you come outside of pack gates given the threats the pack is facing?”“I am a vampire hunter, I can smell them, but I needed to learn more about my abilities, how to use them, and help Shadow Pack find t

Viola’s POVWe peppered Amelia with questions until the end of the day. Although the cave was beautiful, it was certainly not comfortable, though I didn’t realize how much until I got up. The aches were awful! Vex healed me right up of course, but still. “Will you guys go and get Nathan? I completely forgot about him. I will mind link you where to have him go.”“You sure you should be alone with her?” Derek asked.I nodded. “I am. I’ll be waiting for you both.” They each kissed me before going back to the bed and breakfast to gather Nathan and our vehicle.“I have heard of the Dyad mate bond, but I’ve never seen it in person.” Amelia mused.“It’s definitely not always easy.” I smiled thinking of them both. “But I love them, and it feels natural. They didn’t really like it at first, and now it feels more natural to them also. After they marked me things have changed for us all.”“It is extremely odd for a hunter to have two fated mates.”“I know. It isn’t something I really understand

  • The Heiress to Shadow Pack   Chapter 39

Viola’s POVI waited in the breakfast area from the moment it opened up to the guests hoping to see Avery, hoping that I was not wrong about her being here. Trenton and Derek both brought plates of food from the breakfast bar and took turns feeding me. Apparently being mated meant I could no longer feed myself. I wasn’t complaining too much though, I enjoyed the pampering of my men if I was being completely honest. After about an hour of waiting I felt a strange pull away from my mates though. A pull I typically only felt with my father. I whipped my head around to the strange sensation and saw a woman with hair so light it was the opposite of mine, her eyes were brown and lined with a light grey ring. Her face seemed familiar. I couldn’t put my finger on who she looked like though.I walked up to her before she left. “Who are you?”Her eyes widened when she looked over me. “Are you Viola?” She whispered so quietly that if I were human, I wouldn’t have even heard her.I nodded and she

Stella’s POV“You called for me alpha?” I found myself in Alpha Drake’s study once again after he mind linked me. I truly enjoy being part of a pack.He nodded and gestured for me to sit. When I did, he sat back in his chair.“My daughter thinks highly of you, and I am sure it is not misplaced after your time here.” He rubbed his chin. “I was hoping you would come with me today, my beta and I, a couple of the other visiting alphas, and a couple of warriors would like to get an idea of this boundary you spoke of.”“Yes, of course, Alpha Drake. The boundary, I can feel it. Anyone cane really if you know what you are looking for. I will show you.”“That will be perfect. Thank you Stella, I will find you when we are ready to go.” “Yes, Alpha.” I began to head out and stopped. “Alpha?” I called.“What is it?”“My mate is the alpha of another pack, will that mean I have to leave here?” I asked curiously. Yes, I already adored Alpha Danner. But Shadow Pack was the first place I had ever fe
