Later that night, as they walked into the bedroom, “You knew that would seal the deal, didn’t you?” she asked.

“Whatever do you mean?” he asked as he stripped his shirt off. She looked at him as he did, and her mouth went dry.

“You let them pick to the colors instead of picking them out for them. That was a good thing,” she said when she could.

“I figured since I won’t have to look at it, why not let them have their own spaces. It was the easiest thing for them,” he said as he moved closer to her. “You Mouse have a certain look in your eyes.”

“I don’t know what you mean,” she said as he moved slowly across the room.

“That look you are giving me right now,” he said.

“I don’t know which look that is,” she replied with a smile.
