Chapter 6

"Have you heard?"

"What?"

"The top epsilon is here."

The girls shrieked and jumped around. They were five assigned to a room each. Ro was reading a book when she overheard the rest talking. Just then, someone came in to call them, "Sheila wants everyone outside now."

The omegas all ran outside the building, Sheila giving them the order to line up. "Ms Pickles, It's nice to meet you," Leke smiled brightly.

"Pleasure is all mine, top epsilon," Sheila Pickles blushed. Then she turned to the lined up omegas, "Epsilon Leke is here to see us. Roll call."

Ro could only wonder why the top epsilon would want to see the lower omegas, it was quite unusual. The omegas all recited their names, the top epsilon smiling at them. When it got to Ro's turn and she called out her name, she noticed he looked at her in surprise and something that looked like approval.

"What's your full name?" he asked her. "Just Ro, sir," she looked down.

"You don't have to look down, you can look at me." Everyone gasped. What nonsense was he saying?. No lower omega dared to look at his/her head omega yet one of the top officials in the pack wanted Ro, a lower omega to look at him, face to face. The man who controlled all the warriors of Moon Glass pack wants Ro to look at him.

"I feel honoured sir," she looked up slowly but still avoided his eyes. The top epsilon nodded and the roll call continued. When they were done, he spoke.

"I've noticed all of you guys have beautiful skins but because of the hard work and lack of beauty oils, your beauties are being hidden. So, i hope you accept these gifts i have brought for you all."

Leke clapped his hands twice and gift baskets were brought. In each basket were different sweet smelling body sprays, hair oils and treatments, facial and hand creams, acne and scar removal creams, lip balms, face masks and so on. The girls screamed and shouted thank yous as he smiled at them. Ro thought it was really sweet of him thinking of them. She couldn't wait to tell Omar.

The omegas smiled in delight as they were handed a basket each. The top epsilon then told them they were free to go and everyone including Ro began to make their way back inside but Sheila stopped Ro. The beautiful omega looked at her head omega in confusion as she beckoned on her. Ro walked towards Sheila who was standing beside the top epsilon. She threw a small smile at Ro then left after bowing to epsilon Leke.

"Ro, i noticed you have some scars on your shoulders." Out of instinct, the omega held her shoulders gingerly.

"It's okay, i just wanted to give you this," he brought out a small bottle from his pocket. "This is really special to me. It's one of a kind but I'm giving it to you. It'll heal your scars."

"No offense sir but why me? I'm not the only one with scars," Ro couldn't help but ask.

"Just like this ointment, you're special," he then put the bottle in her hands. "Keep it well, It's a gift from me to you", with that said, he left.

Ro was left surprised but definitely happy. The top epsilon had chosen her. When Ro went back inside, she heard the omegas talking about him in shrill voices and how they've all developed a crush on him. Ro couldn't help but admit she harbored a tiny crush for him.

"He's so handsome," one said.

"Yes and well built," another agreed.

"And hot," they chorused as Ro settled back on her bed.

"He has deep blue eyes," another said dreamily.

"With a touch of sea green."

The omega snorted at that comment and rolled her eyes. Why not say his eyes have colors of the rainbow, she thought in mock annoyance.

"Any problem Ro?" Clara, her roommate asked. "Nothing, just that his eyes are normal."

"What color would you say he has?" Clara asked again.

"Honestly they look like brown from afar, you'd have to get very close to him to know It's blue," Ro shrugged.

"You're saying rubbish," another omega wrinkled her nose at Ro.

"Yeah, i could see a bit of yellow in them," another supported. Colors of the rainbow alright, Ro hummed.

Four days later, she was getting ready to see Omar. For the first time in a while, she took time dressing. She wanted to look beautiful for him, she wanted him to say she looked pretty. When she was done, she quickly put on her sneakers and walked the river.

When she got to the glistening brook, she found him already waiting. One day, she would beat him here. His head was downcast, his mind probably deep in thought as his back rested against a tree. He kicked the dry dirt with his shoe, his hands in his jean pockets and gentle breeze blowing his loose polka dotted shirt.

"Omar."

Sharp features looked up to smile at soft outlines, a tint of yellow in his teeth. The omega ran to him as he came forward towards her and gave him a big hug. She heard an "oof" and he staggered back a little before hugging her back. "How do i look?"

Honestly, Omar thought she looked really cute. Her smile was cute, her watermelon themed top was cute, her face was cute, her hands were cute, her everything was cute. "Nice," he checked her out from head to toe, nodding.

Ro's smile dropped and he looked at her face. "What?"

"I thought you were going to say i looked pretty." He snaked an arm around her waist and pecked her pouty cheek. "You've always been pretty."

"So i don't look different?" Ro frowned and Omar couldn't help but chuckle. She looked so cute right now.

"You do. You're glowing."

"Thank you," her smile returned and she laced her fingers with his and pulled him like they were in a tug-of-war. He didn't even move, he was rooted to the ground. The only thing moving were his arms. "You'll fall," he scolded gently.

"I won't. Top epsilon came to see us today."

"Really? tell me about it," Ro couldn't see his smirk because she was trying to bend herself in half with him still holding her so she doesn't fall. "He gave us gifts," then Ro told him everything that happened.

"That's really nice of him," Omar conceded. "Yup," she popped the p.

"I thought you didn't have a place to stay," he commented. "That's only when I'm being rented. I'm not allowed to go back to the house."

"Oh," he nodded gently.

"I think i like the epsilon," she suddenly said. Omar gently but quickly pulled her up and held her waist so she wouldn't fall. "You like him?"

"Yeah, just a little like," she pinched her fingers together.

"What do you mean by little like?" the Alph-guard growled lowly. "I didn't mean it like that, you don't have to be jealous okay?" Ro patted his cheek sweetly.

"You can't like him," he pouted.

"Why not?"

"Because–because–because–", the tall man couldn't find any words to speak. Ro laughed and he frowned.

"Because what?" she prodded him.

"I like you," he said like a child.

"I like you too," she hugged him. "I don't like the epsilon that way, just adoration because he thought about us."

"Right," Omar huffed and Ro placed her hands on his shoulders, kissing his cheek.

"Cheer up."

He slid his hands into the back pockets of her black jean but still didn't smile.

"Omar," the omega whined.

She kissed his cheek and he turned the other one. Just as she was about to kiss his other cheek, he turned his face and the kiss landed on his lips. Ro playfully glared at him and he chuckled before staring long at her.

And then, soft lips mouthed hers.
