Chapter 69: The Alpha is Dead

What I saw isn't real; I tried to persuade myself. My powers are affected by what they gave me to strip me from my powers. I kept telling myself in my mind, not wanting to believe what I saw to be true. I could never forgive Alpha Deucalion; he doesn't deserve to be forgiven.

I was soaked and cold. My body was trembling. I searched for a shelter. I found a cave. As I was about to enter, I heard someone coming. I dodge behind the cave and watch to see who it was. It was Jane, she was not alone she was with Alaric.

"How are we going to tell Luna Salem about, Alpha Arkane?" Alaric stopped and asked Jane.

She stood as well.

"The truth," she retorted sadly.

Worries swept over me. What was wrong with Arkane, I needed to know.

Alaric held Jane's hand motioning her into his arms. He hugged her.

"You don't have to do it. I'll do it. You need to think about our pup now," said Alaric.
