Chapter 27

Stephen's POV

"Take him to a cell,' I said when the guards showed up. James was lying on the ground naked from me, biting into his neck.

"I can't believe James would shift in front of Claire like that," Gwen said

"Me either. He was obviously planning on hurting her," Steven said

"We need to get her to the Pack Hospital," I said and then mind-linked Dr. Dawson letting her know we were on our way. Dr. Dawson is around forty years old and the lead Doctor at the hospital. She told me she would have a room ready when we arrived.

I picked Claire up bridal style and placed her in the back seat of my car. Gwen got in and Placed Claire's head on her legs. Steven and I got in and began driving to the Pack Hospital. I couldn't believe James would try to hurt my Mate. He was going to be punished for his crimes against her.

"Do you think that James had this planned?" Gwen asked

"Yes, why else would he come here and not to the meeting? Why else would he be with Claire alone with nobody around?"
