He remembered her as always being quiet and obedient... He had no notion that she acted this way in private. Was she really leaving him? Was she serious about the divorce?
"Someone seems to be hitting on her!" Cody made a joke.
Teddy looked up and saw her smile at a guy. Her smile was so bright that it was hard to explain. He grabbed his drink because he wanted to block out his conflicted sensations.
Fay gently turn down the guy who asked for her contact information by saying, "Sorry, I'm not interested in dating." She smiled out of politeness.
"Don't worry." The man left with a red face after being told no.
Roxy smiled. "The sixth man, right? Your charm is too much to resist.”
“Told ya men wasn’t on my list of important things anymore," Fay drank some of her wine.
"You're right,” Roxy poured another bottle of wine and filled her glass. "Men suck," she yelled. "Come on, let's get drunk tonight!"
Fay threw her head back and drank the wine all at once. Her new relaxed attitude and endless energy were really captivating.
Teddy looked at her closely, drank his wine, and tried to make sense of his feelings.
"She looks amazing. Was she acting when she was with you?“ Cody joked, "Like hiding all her beauty."
Cody looked at Teddy. He saw that Teddy was looking at Fay and asked, "You said you hated your ex-wife, right? Dude, looking at her like that doesn't really help your case.”
Teddy turned and looked at Cody. “And who told you I was looking at her?”
Cody pressed his lips together and stayed quiet. Then, a loud and harsh voice came from the booth next door. "Check out the hot girl in the backless gown. Should I ask her to come over and join us?”
“Look? She turned down all those guys. How do you believe you'll get her?”
“Just two pills, and she'll do what I say. Just wait and see." The man brought out a pill box and slipped two pills into a glass of wine. The pills dissolved in the wine as the bubbles rose. He smiled, swung the glass, and walked over to Fay. "Hey, pretty, want to have a drink with me?"
Fay had already drunk a lot with Roxy, and her vision was fuzzy. But she didn't want to drink any more, so she waved him away. "No more drinks, thanks."
The man shoved the glass toward her. "My treat. I just want to be friends."
Fay was getting impatient. She took the drink with a frown. But before she could put it to her lips, someone grabbed her wrist. The person took the glass away. Then, a familiar voice yelled at her. "Fay, are you crazy? How could you drink from someone you don't know?”
Fay was shocked to hear the voice. She looked up and saw Teddy. She was shocked and muttered, "Teddy?"
For the first time, Teddy thought her voice was strangely beautiful.
Fay’s word reached him before he could say anything. "Am I imagining things? Why am I thinking about this jerk?”
“That's too bad!" Cody laughed behind Teddy’s back, but he quickly stopped since Teddy’s anger was starting to scare him.
Teddy looked away from Cody and at Fay. "Fay!" He yelled and held her wrist tighter.
Fay looked up and saw his sad face, which made her feel the anguish. She knew she wasn’t imagining Teddy, it was real. He was the one.
"Is he real? Damn it!” She bowed her head and whispered, and Teddy could hear every word.
Two bodyguards grabbed the guy by the chin, took his drink, and made him drink the wine with the tablets in it. His friends were shocked and stayed quiet since they were too terrified to say anything.
Teddy looked at them, got bored, and left.
"You deserved it!" Cody yelled before rushing after Teddy.
Ezra looked at Fay, who had just gotten into the car, with a confused look on his face at the bar's entrance. Teddy, who is normally quite smart, made a mistake this time.

The next day. After breakfast, Marc asked Fay, "What are you going to do now?"
"Dad, I want to work at one of our jewelry company," Fay said after a moment of consideration.
"Even as a kid, you were good at design. You even became famous before you finished school. You put your job on hold for a guy before. But it's nice to see you back in the game,” Marc told a servant to bring over some files with a smile on his face. “Look around and see which jewelry company you like."
"This one." Fay looked through them and pointed to one. Fy designs.
"Okay. I'll take care of it straight away. You will be in charge of the company, but don't worry too much. It's okay if it doesn't work out. We have a lot of other businesses.”
Fay was shocked. Marc pampered her too much. And even with this, she was still blind to settle for someone as Teddy who didn’t deserve her. Well, that was in the past now.
"Fay, by the way, we think you might need some extra cash." Mae picked up her phone to make a call. "I'll give you $200 million. Please tell me if it's not enough.”
"Mom, that's too much." Fay didn't need the cash.
Mae said, "You might need money sometimes. In any case, just get what you want.”
“Thanks, Dad and Mom."
Fay drove her red Maserati to the front of Fy Designs, the jewelry company the next day. She saw that the receptionist at the front desk was sleeping. She frowned and lightly tapped the desk.
The receptionist suddenly woke up and asked in a hesitant voice., "Hello, miss, can I help you?"
"My name is Fay Roy." Fay spoke in a calm voice, but the receptionist was so surprised that she swiftly ran out from behind the desk. "Miss Roy, please come with me."
Marc told them yesterday, but he didn't say Fay was his daughter. So, the workers just knew that a woman was going to be in charge today.
The receptionist led Fay to the office on the top floor. But there was a man sitting in the chair and working on a document. Even as they came in, he didn’t look up but continue with what he was doing.
Fay frowned, "Is this my office or his?"
The receptionist said anxiously, "This is your office. I'll tell Mr. Duffer to leave.”
Before Fay came, Griffon Duffer was the one managing the company.
"Mr. Duffer, please get up. This is Ms. Roy’s office now.” the receptionist said.
“So I should leave this office for a nobody?” Griffon asked. He looked up and saw Fay’s half-smile and piercing glare. He was surprised and stood up. "You are..."
"I'm the nobody you just called," Fay responded with her arms crossed.
"I'm very sorry, Miss Roy. I didn't know you’re this young and pretty. Please take a seat!" Griffon rushed out of the chair and gesture for Fay to sit down.
"Get out now," Fay said impatiently, pointing to the door.
Griffon left right away. He said under his breath as he slammed the door outside, "Don't get too cocky. Once you mess up, let's see how you manage the criticism from your bosses.”
Celia’s smile somewhat expanded as she felt needed after receiving Teddy’s directions. "Be at ease and let me handle it," she stated with a confident smile. “Nothing will go wrong.”"Okay," Teddy said apathetically, turning his head away from her. As she stood there, Celia silently wondered how to get in touch with that so-called Miss Roy and assist in fostering collaboration between Ward Group and Fy Jewelry in order to win Teddy’s favor. That Roy family name made her remember that Fay had also the same surname and her face was immediately filled with disdain and hatred. She snorted. Fay could never belong to the powerful Roy family, she only had the name as her surname.Jill abruptly interrupted Celia’s thought, "Cel, Fay is here." Celia looked up, following Jill’s eyes. Fay was standing across from her and Teddy, as was to be anticipated. Celia’s countenance suddenly took on a note of smugness, as if she had been reminded of something. She purposefully murmured as she cocked he
Celia was surprised to see Fay come so quickly. After a moment of astonished incredulity, she snapped out of it and looked across at her. She discovered that Fay was dressed simply in a light blue dress and had no additional jewelry on except for a modest necklace around her neck.Celia felt self-conscious about her appearance because it didn't lessen the beauty of her face."But what about it? Aren't you still so miserable that you dress in such a basic yet sophisticated attire, regardless of how attractive you are?" Celia pondered, and her expression slowly changed to one of disdain. She said again, "Miss Roy, are you deliberately hiding in this deserted place because you're worried about being outdone by the wealthy ladies in the hall?"Fay smiled a little. “Miss Thame, aren't you also present? Does that imply that you come here specifically to conceal because you're also worried?”“Is that likely, in your opinion? Today, I am the major character.” Celia confidently raised her chin
Fay sighed and replied, "I've been busy with the company's affairs recently, and I truly can't spare any time." "You're gifted in medicine. If you don't take advantage of this chance to learn from me, you will be a wasted talent when I am unable to teach in the future." Bush thought that would be very unfortunate, and he let out a heavy, regretful sigh. "I've finally found a promising student, but it turns out that she is unwilling to learn," he grumbled to himself. What ought I to do? As soon as Fay saw his gray hair and sad expression, her heart could no longer stand it. She touched his shoulder and extended her small hand. “Don't be depressed, please. Okay, I swear I'll do all in my power to find the time to study medicine under your tutelage.”She consented, but as soon as she did, she suddenly had headaches. To be honest, she had little interest in medicine. She once went to the doctor with her father when she was quite young. She was fascinated by the doctor at the time, so sh
"You expect me to apologize to you, even though I'm your elder? Do you really believe that's possible?” Lara was obviously upset as she stood with her hands on her hips and her chest heaving. “You constantly accuse me of being disrespectful and unfilial," Fay shot back with a shrug. “However, it appears that your own notion of filial piety is equally naive. In such an important situation, you won't even offer a simple apology. How does that describe you? That indicates your lack of concern for Madam Ward’s welfare, doesn't it? If word gets out, how will the Ward family view you as their daughter-in-law?”"You..." Lara’s face flushed because she was so angry. She was at a loss for words to counter Fay, and she felt completely powerless. She turned to face Teddy, sobbing and slapping her thigh in exasperation. “Just have a peek at her, Teddy! This is how the ostensibly amazing woman you married really is! Now look at how she's treating me! If you don't defend me, she won’t learn to resp
Teddy ate in silence at the table at Ward Manor that night. Lara, meanwhile, kept thinking about her run-in with Fay at Golden earlier that day, and the more she considered it, the more irate she felt."Ted, that Fay is getting more and more crazy," she added. “I'm glad you've already separated from her. If not, you have no idea how much difficulty she would cause you. I'm not sure who she was able to win over, but she resides at Golden premium villa No. 9. How is it possible for someone so obscene and despicable to be entitled to such a luxurious residence?”Teddy paid little attention to Lara’s other words. All he could think of was that Fay was residing in Villa No. 9. Then he unconsciously tightened his hold on the fork and scowled a little. "Mom, did you really see Fay entering Villa No. 9? "Inquiringly, he queried. "Obviously, I witnessed it firsthand. If I didn't, I wouldn't tell you! That woman—“Teddy had already lost interest in Lara’s rambling. "Is Fay really willing to s
Francis gave her a card. "There's two hundred million dollars in here, it's kind of an allowance I'm giving you as a brother," he remarked with a smile. Fay gave him a joyful hug. She drove over in the cheapest Benz from the garage after obtaining the villa key in order to maintain a low profile. "Miss, I have never seen you around here," the security guard said as she reached the gate. “Before entering, please go outside and confirm your identity."“Alright." Fay got out of the car, grabbed her access card from her bag, and was about to tap it on the scanner when she heard a voice that was both familiar and sarcastic. "Well, isn't this Fay, the gold digger? What are you doing here? Come on, this is Blu City's famously wealthy neighborhood, Golden. Do you truly believe that someone as impoverished as you should be admitted?”It was a mocking voice. When Fay looked around, she saw Lara Ward, her former mother-in-law, with a contemptuous and piercing expression. Lara had never been
