"Hey! I was waiting for you," Dallin greeted in his beautiful voice. He looked like a prince charming in a black tux, gray wool tuxedo vest, and a tie.
His beautiful smile shone as his eyes changed the colors to bright red mixed with yellow stripes.
"Don't show your powers in the middle of the thousand guests." Howard, who was watching Dallin prepare himself for the past few minutes in the huge Cheval mirror, interrupted when Dallin showed his hybrid side in a flash.
"I thought you said we will be sure it's the she-wolf when we see her blue gown," Dallin complained, purposely raising points to annoy his grandpa.
"I can't deal with you anymore. Can you come and greet the guests now, she might be on her way?” Howard's statement after giving a stroke to his chin made its way to Dallin, who didn’t care what his grandpa just said to him.
Howard met this girl through a vampire friend of his. After exchanging numbers with her, Howard constantly asked her to prove her identity, to which she only sent him a scar tattoo on her back, which cleared any suspicions on her.
Howard hadn't known her name or anything about her as she claimed to be afraid of Vampire and wolf hunters stalking her. Howard was aware of the dangers his type could face when in the human world, but these new rumors about the vampire and werewolf hunters had been spread around like a wildfire.
Dallin and Howard were all set to welcome their rich guests while Delilah couldn’t believe the guy she has been texting with for one day was right in front of her.
“Hi!” she had her mouth hung open and her eyes widened, she gulped and waved her hand awkwardly.
“Hey, Delilah!” G was a cute looking guy, he looked normal. She couldn’t get any creepy vibes from him, he was as awkward as she was; a perfect match.
“G?” She bit her lower lip in order to avoid the awkwardness, she didn’t even know his name.
He was a slim, tall guy with a nerd hairstyle and glasses on.
“Guz!” he laughed and shook his head, they were both silly. “Come inside,” he slid aside to welcome Delilah.
The fear and suspicions Delilah had worn off; she was happy that she had listened to Stacy this time.
“I was scared that you might not come.” Guz followed her as she slowly strolled inside and looked around. It was a huge cabin, there were multiple rooms on the second floor and the first floor had one room and a huge living room where Guz had prepared a candlelight dinner for her.
“Why wouldn’t I? you invited me with so much love, not coming would have been very rude of me.” She responded, admiring the beauty of the cabin.
“I mean; I might have sounded like a creep. Actually. I don’t go out so much, I have a fear of strangers,” he stated, stopping behind her once she had quickly glanced the whole place.
“I understand, I have been bullied a lot too, for being overweight.” Delilah mumbled in her mouth, “But hey, I am a stranger too.” She gave him a smile and watched his face.
“You are not,” he blushed and lowered his face very sweetly.
They were enjoying each other’s company. Both of them were innocent and stupid, laughing at each other’s stupid jokes, they were really meant to be together, Delilah thought.
Guz had made her some home-cooked meal and it all smelt extremely well. Where things were going well for Delilah, Dallin’s hope of meeting his mate has died down by now.“I don’t know where she is at, she is not even responding to my texts.” Howard whispered in his grandson’s ears, who looked drained off all the energy he carried once to meet her.
“It’s fine, I told you she was a scam, I don’t know who you told all our secrets to.” Dallin, who was clearly hurt and feeling lonely as most of the human couple, as well as vampires, were dancing with their couples, managed to act like he didn’t care at all, “That’s why I never raise hopes.” The egocentric hybrid and the spoilt CEO inside him couldn’t let him express his defeat or his pain. That was the worst part that he couldn’t ever mourn.
“We will find you a mate, maybe it---.” Howard wanted to comfort his grandson, who, despite trying to hide his pain failed, but Dallin swiftly walked away from his grandpa. Dallin crossed the huge hall, caring less about shoving the happy dancing couples out of his way and leaving the Clynt Villa to get some fresh air.
“This is all bullsh**,” He muttered in his mouth. He was extremely handsome, rich, and good at se*, why can’t he find his mate and it was so easy for others to find a girl they wanna spend their rest of life with.
He had left the villa behind and strolled past the woods to a road, wandering alone in a beautiful night. His tall figure was very noticeable with blue eyes, his blond shinning hair was puffy and healthy and was resting on his forehead, he could take away anyone’s breath with his looks.
Things were going well for Delilah; she was enjoying her time with Guz. She had finally found someone who wasn’t going to judge her for eating too much or not be able to wear a bikini or crying after eating a meal for eating too much.
“The food was so good,” Delilah praised Guz, who had been silently blushing all this time.
“I will get you some fresh juice,” his eyes noticed that they were running out of the fresh juice. He got up and left for the kitchen.
“I better go wash these hands or he will think I’m so nasty,” she saw that her hands had all the sauces and food, which made her pull up her nose in disgust. She got up and looked around for a restroom.
She climbed the stairs to find a restroom where she can do the business peacefully and luckily for her, one of the rooms had its lights on.
She managed to open the door and what her eyes saw was nothing she had expected to see. The whole room was filled with her pictures, almost like he had been stalking her. And those pictures were nothing like he loved her or was crazy over her, more so like he was keeping tabs on her.Delilah was watching all of it in shock and terror, but the thing that scared her the most was some drawings on the bed. In those drawings, there were some scars and one of them was one similar to the scar Delilah had on her back. Her heart dropped into her stomach and she felt unable to gulp.
She had that scar ever since she was a kid, it appeared out of nowhere on her back one day, covering her birthmark.
“Why did you do that?” She jumped at the voice from behind her. Delilah was startled that he was standing right behind her and not blushing anymore. “This would have been so easy if you hadn’t start spying around.” He shrugged his shoulders in disappointment and then shook his head like it was her fault that now she could try to resist whatever this man planned to do to her.
“Listen, I don’t know what you are up to, but I wanna go home now.” Delilah was trembling in fear, she had no idea her date will turn out to be a psycho.
“Yeah! That is not happening, not until you tell me how to activate that scar on your back,” he slowly took off his glasses and began to walk in her direction.
With his every proceeding step towards Delilah, she took two steps back from him. He was inside the room now; it wasn’t a good sign.
"I don't know what you are talking about, are you okay? Did you hit your head in the kitchen?" Delilah tried to joke, kept pacing away from him as his eyes darkened.
"I'm completely fine, it's you who is not normal, you monster. You thought you could live in a human world and nobody will find out about you?" Guz muttered through gritted teeth and eyed her angrily.
Delilah was completely lost at this point. She had no idea what he meant and what was wrong with him.
"Okay, I'll leave and I won't tell anyone, okay?" She forced a smile onto her face, trying to calm down her shivering body.
She knew she had got herself into a huge debacle, she shouldn't have listened to Stacy.
"No! You have to give me those powers," he smirked, running his hand through his hair to quickly rub off the gel he had used to make them sit down.
"What powers?" Delilah was not only scared but very confused at this guy talking random shi**.
"Yes! How do you transfer power, tell me? Is it by biting? No, wait! By se* right?" his smirk grew bigger once Delilah's back hit the wall and she realized she was stuck now. She had nowhere to go and he was in charge here.
"No! I won't let your filthy hands touch me." she hugged herself quickly once she realized what he meant by that. It wasn't just that, she started to feel dizzy all of a sudden.
Her hands were shaking, her heart beating faster than a bullet train.
"Oh trust me, I would never if it wasn't for the powers. Who would want to touch the inflated balloon-like you? Besides, I guess the pills are working," He pulled his nose up in disgust and then stepped back, "But I've to tolerate you for tonight or every night until I get powers," he began to unbutton his shirt very quickly.
His words made Delilah clueless, was she that disgusting? Just because she was overweight? So when he was praising her, was that all a lie?
Tears began to spring down her eyes as she watched him undress and smirking at the same time. Nobody is going to find her here, she hadn’t even told Monica that she was talking to someone, will Stacy maybe try to look for her?"I am ready to fill your fat, ugly body with my precious germs." He smirked widely and rushed at Delilah.
Delilah knew crying won’t help her, the moment he reached her and grabbed her arm, she lifted her knee, and sadly, she couldn’t lift her knee to his crotch. She should have listened to her friend and start working out. Now that she was drugged up, she knew she had to do anything to get away from him before her mind and gives up on her."You wanted to hurt the hunter?" he raised his brow, confusing her more by calling himself Hunter.“Hahaha! You fat pig thought you coul---,” he laughed, and then suddenly, Delilah lifted her knee again and this time she kicked him right in his nuts with all the force she could gather. His eyes rolled back in his head and his face turned red, “You bi***,” He grunted, slowly dropping on his back. This was her time to make an attempt to leave this crazy person’s cabin. She dipped out of the room even when he was calling after her. She had to leave quickly, she ran downstairs and picked
“Here!” Dallin opened the bottle and lifted the cup, only to get shocked when Delilah snatched the whole bottle out of his hands.“Umm, are you sure?” Dallin side-eyed Delilah for chugging the bottle like she had no care in the world. Dallin picked the other bottle and followed her act by chugging the wine down his throat. Now that they were officially wasted and horny, they laid down on the mattress again.“Do you think people live on these stars?” the night was still young and so were they. Delilah had her finger pointing at the sky as she asked Dallin.“I don’t know, aren’t there Aliens living there?” he tilted his head to himself, accompanying Delilah into watching the stars.“Oh! I thought they are on earth now.” She pouted sadly, “can we go live on stars?” she questioned very innocently and turned her face to him.“We can!” Dallin had never
"Would you tell me where the heck did you spend your whole night?" Monica kept tailing Delilah ever since she stepped inside her apartment.Delilah looked for a charger and plugged it in, completely ignoring Monica, who stood behind her with her hands on her hips."Where were you?" Monica repeated herself very furiously. Delilah couldn't tell Monica how her date drugged her last night.Monica didn't like this new change in Delilah. She thought Delilah hadn't fully understood the dangers of the world to believe in strangers already."Can you give me some space," Delilah eyed Monica to leave her alone, she was dying to talk to Stacy and tell her everything about last night. Maybe Stacy will be able to help her with that Guz guy as well, since it wasn't normal what he tried to do to her."Delilah!" Monica tried to get her attention, but Delilah stormed inside the bathroom to take a quick shower. A lot happened in one night, and she wasn't ready
“How?” she whispered to herself, he helped her get back on her feet and then looked away sadly. Why did she bump on him? what would he be thinking of her now that he can see her in daylight?“Dallin!” she uttered his name in her mouth, not believing he had found her when she thought he would never try to look for her ever again, could be a coincidence. It took him a minute to respond after filling her face in his eyes. He grabbed her wrist and pulled her to the side, in an empty street.“How did you find me?” She asked once she found him standing in front of her with his arms crossed on his white suit and watching her without blinking his eyes.“Why, you really thought I wouldn’t be able to find you?” he wanted to yell at her, be mad at her, but the way she looked at him made him retract.“I mean; I knew you wouldn’t want to.” She whispered and lowered her head, holding her
The next day, Delilah hesitated to go to college. With time to spare, she took a morning jog determinedly to take her health seriously. Now that she knew all the praising and compliment Stacy used to fill her mind with were nothing but fibs to make a fool out of her, Delilah agreed that she had not lost weight, even, had gained more. She was very well aware of the treatment she was going to receive at the college that day, but skipping a day wasn't going to help either even when she desperately wanted to do that. Her legs had given up on her after running for a few minutes only. It really was a mystery to her that how people could run a mile.Breathing profusely and drenched in her own sweat, she crawled back to her room, accepting her defeat."I can't start hard, I should first focus on reducing the consumption of bad food." she served the door after her and sat in her bed. The empty bed by the other side of the room was another reason she couldn't motivate hers
“You were drooling over her and so was she,” Delilah almost sounded like a mad ex-girlfriend. She had Dallin to her apartment, her room where her best friend once used to reside with her. “What! No! I see gorgeous girls every day, you think I will fall for everyone?” Dallin sits down on Monica’s bed, and rolls his eyes unbelievably. He thinks Delilah is crazy to blame him for such a thing. Yes! It was true that he looked at her twice, but she was gorgeous, there was no secret about it.“But---but you said you wanted to stand up for me,” Delilah’s tone changes, she felt bad for sounding so desperate. “Yeah! But you told me to let’s go.” Dallin has indulged himself in his phone, scrolling through Instagram, avoiding the conversation. She lowered her head and sat down like a stubborn child on her bed. She truly was accusing him with no evidence, he was her friend, he would not do her wrong by
“Really? You want me to come?” Delilah had to ask him twice to make sure she wasn’t hearing it wrong.“Yes! Why not, you are my friend.” Dallin had picked her up from her college to drop her home without worrying about the bus.“That’s wonderful, I would love to be there.” Delilah cheered merrily. “Actually, some of my grandpa’s friends are invited over and usually I get bored among those people, so, I thought if he can invite his friends, how about I invite mine?” Dallin’s words made Delilah blush secretly. She was beginning to think that Dallin was falling for her, but maybe he was a bit shy to express his feelings to her.“I will be honored to dine with you and your grandpa.” She whispered cheerfully. Things were all setting up nicely, Dallin cared for her and she knew, it wasn’t long that he would even fall for her. She has decided to wear a blue s
“Has nobody taught her manners?” Mr. Clark’s comment was the last thing Dallin heard when he followed Delilah to the out.“This is so disrespectful!” he voiced after Delilah, who was trying to sprint out of that place. Her proceeding steps halted the moment she heard him complain, her leaving the place where she was being mocked about was disrespectful and not them using her weight as their form of entertainment?“They were laughing at me.” She couldn’t raise her voice at Dallin, they have become really close friends in the last few days. Even though it might not be a noticeable thing to him, she did not want to spoil his mood with her harsh words. She couldn’t even make him realize that she was disappointed in him for not defending her there.“Because you made a fool out of yourself. Why do you care what others say about you?” he was not wrong, but instead of calling them wrong, he was accusing h
