The first day at the human school

Chapter 8

During the 2 weeks off that they had for the human winter break of school, we spent that time working on the pack lands and getting them up to snuff. We had a contractor come and start on the plans for the pack hospital and school as well as the orphanage/foster house which will start construction in the spring. We also went into the school office to register for classes and give them our school transcripts.

On the first day after their break, as we make it to the new school we walk into the building which is a one story enclosed building. The first thing we notice is the pale white walls and yucky fluorescent bulbs flickering light and I swear this school looks more like a hospital than a school. The triple stacked lockers that are a dingy looking beige color like they were an afterthought line the walls.

We went to the office to get our class schedule and locker assignments, we checked our schedules and noticed that we only have 4 classes with all of us together, homeroom

    Part 6The reason I took the one with the personal balcony is because of Alma, she does sometimes need a potty break in the middle of the night, and putting some potty pads out there would help with not having to wake the security team just to walk her. Oh and before I forget in the living room there is another balcony that is a lot bigger than the one in my room, like three times the size, mine can only fit one chair, a small table and a few potty pads in the corner, while as the one that is off the living room, can hold six chairs with small tables between every two chairs and still have enough room to walk around. The balconies have a bulletproof half glass wall so we can still see out and get some breeze, but won’t have papers blowing around if sitting lower than the wall.The paint color in the mini apartment, that’s what I’m going to call it instead of a dorm room, is a pale bluish white, with a dark green trim.     Part 5When we left Manitou Springs it was about eleven-thirty am, and we still had roughly another hour of driving to get to our final fuel stop where I would completely fill up my truck. Yeah that hour turned into two hours, there is a lot of freaking traffic throughout the day in these cities, so many people and cars on every street and roadway. I think we were stuck behind an accident at one point, I swear people don’t pay attention to who they cut off, Brantley one of the warriors in my truck, found out that it was a car that cut off a semi truck hauling a big machine to make their exit, and that the semi couldn’t stop in time and smashed into them, pushing the car into the guardrail on the exit. It makes sense now, why we were stuck sitting for an hour. They had to tow the car and get all the info from both parties.When we finally got to the city of Cripple Creek CO, we found out that it was an old mining camp, they had lots of casinos and tours for going up into the old gold m

    Part 4After dinner I head outside for a long flight with Crismon and a long run with Midnight. I tell both of them that tomorrow night we will have to head to bed right after dinner, so we can wake up refreshed and early for the long drive ahead of us the following day. They both agree and ask for a three hour turn each to be let out since we don’t know when they can be released after we get to the school. I of course agree with them, so for the next six hours we fly and run, they take turns and switch back and forth every hour. By the time we get back, it’s about three hours until the sun rises. I write on a piece of printer paper that I got home late from letting the girls out, and that I’ll be up later. When I wake up, I double check I have everything that both Alma and I will need for staying up there, Alma’s crate, food and toys, along with a few bones and her fluffy baby blue bed that rests on my bed.     Part 3The next day, I woke up early to finish packing my truck, with both of my suitcases for clothes, shoes, bathroom items, my laptop case and chargers. The truck is ready to go and so am I. I have two days until I start my trip up to Cripple Creek. It's about a day's drive away, anywhere between two hundred and two miles and two hundred and seventy-two miles depending on the weather and of which way I go. We have never explored the eastern side of Colorado before and that would be some pretty cool things to see, but since my dad insisted that a few of the warriors travel with me in a separate vehicle for my protection, I might just go the mountain shorter way. Maybe after Alpha Uni we could go on a road trip to explore the other areas of this state, as long as it’s east of here and not back towards Moon Haven, lol.Later that day I am sitting in my dad’s office with him and my mom looking over a few different routes to get up there.     Part 2I grabbed a mix of randoms that both Cam and Matt are shaking their heads at. I was able to sneak into my suitcase the comfy shirts and leggings that Matt hates, though I had to vacuum bag seal and place those under my makeup and bathroom items so he didn’t see them. I still don’t get why he hates them so much, they’re comfy as fuck and go with every kind of legging and pants that I own.As my clothes suitcase is getting bigger and bigger, Matt decides that the only way everything will fit is if he re-do’s my entire suitcase.
