The night ended without any incident, Everyone went into their respective rooms to get some sleep, I change into my nightgown and step out onto the balcony that is connected to my room. Under the moonlight, I perch my arms on top of the railing and rest my head on them while looking up at the sky.

It was a beautiful night and I took in every moment looking up at the beautiful moon and dark sky streaked with shiny stars. With the peaceful breeze rushing across my body it felt amazing to finally be free. My worries seemed to blow away whenever I stood in the fresh air, it felt so relieving.

I smile to myself until I felt like someone was watching me I quickly look around but see no one. Still feeling odd about it I decide to go back in and lock the balcony doors before climbing into bed.

That night I fall asleep peacefully but soon I felt uneasy, the dream I was dreaming was realistic.

It was memories from over the years and it made me feel as if I was reliving them all in a time-lapse.

I instantly wake up in a panic sweating and breathing fast, I try to catch my breath by taking a couple of deep breaths and when that fails I decided to go take a warm shower.

(It's not real, this isn't real...I just need to...calm down.)

I enter the bathroom and get into the shower standing under the water for some time until I felt a bit better and got out.

I sigh a breath of relief and get dressed, while drying my hair I take notice of my body in the big mirror and frown.

I looked fine but I could see the many old and new scars from over the years, My wrists still had a light rim around them and on my back, a long scar runs across from my right shoulder to the left side of my hip. That one was probably the worst, the rest were tiny or not noticeable without being pointed out.

(The ones on my wrists should heal within a couple of weeks but the one on my back...I don't think that'll ever heal.)

I sigh a disappointed sigh but try to not let the matter bother me to much and decide to just finish getting ready.

Once I was done I wall into the living room where im met by Mrs. Sheng, Kadachi, and Kota. Mrs. Shemg walks over to me and takes a hold of my hand.

"Good morning dead, How are you feeling today?"

I happily nod at her.

"I am fine mother, How about you?"

Mrs. Sheng giggles before responding.

"You're too polite, I'm fine sweetie, but today you will be going to the company with Kadachi and Kota to work. This way you can socialize and have some more spending money of your own!"

I was very hesitant upon hearing this and froze immediately. Mrs. Sheng notices right away and pats my arm.

"Don't worry to much about it all, you will be working as Kadachi's assistant along with Kota, They will teach you your position it's really not that hard. Plus it pays really well!!"

Before I could even think about what to say she leads me to the car where Kota and Kadachi were waiting in. She opens the door and practically pushes me inside next to Kadachi. I go tense and stare out the window once the door is closed.

Kota chuckles and Kadachi sighs. I decide to just stay silent which Kota soon forces me to break as he starts his questioning.

"Kairi, Have you ever been to school?"

I clear my throat.

"No, I was homeschooled since I could remember."

Kota quickly moves onto another question.

"How about favorite color?"

I keep facing the window I answer each and every question. The time passed by rather quickly as the both of us talked. Kadachi seemed to be busy with some documents as we chatted away. Next thing I know it we arrive at a tall business building. I immediately recognized the name of it.

(This is Shengs Enterprise/Franchise Company, They sell and buy other companies, land, shares, and other things that range to many variations. Im surprised that he's the head of the main company.)

My heart beats faster upon realizing my own position and I gulp as I step out of the car. Kadachi leads the way while Kota walks close behind me. As the doors open it seems everyone's eyes immediately dart our way as we walk to the elevators. There were three elevators. Only one had CEO and Authorization use only. Kadachi clicks the button and I follow him inside.

I could hear some people whisper as the doors close.

"Hey who's the new girl??"

"I dunno but she's kinda cute!"

"Wait why is she riding with the CEO?!"

"I wonder what she did to get that close to our president and us not even know her existence?!"

The door closes and Kadachi turns towards me after clicking the button for the top floor.

"Don't mind them, They are on the lower level for a reason. Just stick by me and no one will bother you."

I warmly smile at him.

"Thanks for your concern. It's ok I don't mind them at all, It's just gossip right?"

Kadachi smirks before rubbing my head and turning back around.

"When we get to the too Kota will show you around and teach you what it means to be an assistant."

I nod feeling very confident.

"I will do my best!"

The door opens as they chuckle and we all walk out, The office scenery was elegant but in a basic kind of way. I follow them to a big office that was Kadachi's, Kota points to a table that stood in front of the office that seemed to stop all traffic from entering the big office. It had 1 computer and a laptop on the desk.

"This will be your work area, No one is allowed into the office without an appointment or if they have been specifically requested to enter by Kadachi. Kadachi will always give you a heads up if he has requested for someone to come to him so there shouldn't be any trouble. Now let me show you the basic system software."

Kota begins showing me everything which seemed pretty easy to remember, I also took notes and when Kota was called to run an errand I took the time to memorize a few things and read the daily tasks, companies policy, and rule book.

(Everything seems pretty straightforward, As long as I pay attention I should be ok for now, Kota said the only thing that he thinks would be difficult for me is the constant amount of people who try to get into the office with no appointments. I guess I'll have to be a little blunt.)

I go over a few manuscripts and documents but get stuck on a certain one unable to find a solution I knock on Kadachi's door and hear a quick reply.

"Come in!"

I go in closing the door behind me, I walk up to his desk as he's nose deep into some documents.

"Sir-"

Im instantly cut off as he speaks.

"Im your Fiance, Kairi, Call me Kadachi or hubby from now on."

I instantly blush at the word hubby and bite my lower lip.

"I-Uh...Kadachi...I have a manuscript im unsure about...I do not want to sign off on anything without you checking over it."

Kadachi smirks and goes over the part I had highlighted. His smirk turns serious then he chuckles.

"For someone who's just started im surprised you caught something like that on your first day. Are you sure you didn't go to school or college?"

I giggle and shake my head.

"Thank you Kadachi."

Kadachi smirks and hands the document back to me.

"Shred this and inform the seller we won't be participating in this product by email."

I nod and go back to my duties, I so as I was told.

(Kadachi pov)

As soon as she walks out I lean back into my seat.

(She caught something that our previous past assistants wouldn't have caught at first glance. This woman is starting to really interest me.)

I smirk as I go back to work.
