Sasha

“Shall we get this over with? I have places to be.” The man’s husky voice comes as he strides towards the table in the middle of the room.

His slow, deliberate movements were like a predator stalking its prey, every step a silent promise of impending doom.

The surrounding aura radiates something like power and dominance My father smiles like he just hit the jackpot, walking to the table, when I see the high priest walking to the table as well.

The man takes the pen from my father and signs the document; his gaze fixed on me. The way his eyes are trained on me sends an icy chill down my spine, there was no mistaking it – this was a man who thrived on fear.

I quickly avert his gaze.

My father would kill me if I ever stared at him this long, but curiosity gets the better of me as I turn to look at the man again, watching him write on the paper.

I am getting married to a man whose name I don’t even know. I have tried to find out from Rhett and Länna, but they both seem not interested in telling me who this mysterious man is.

“Sasha. Here,” the priest hands me the paper. I swallow hard, not sure what to do. I never got the opportunity to learn how to read or write. My father made sure of that, and my mother never bothered to speak on my behalf.

“Here,” The priest gestures for me where to sign. I take the pen in my left hand and bite my lower lip. I don’t know how to sign or write. The only thing I can think of is my name. I write my name on the paper and then step back.

“The money should be in your account.” The man says to my father, who beams with a smile. My heart shatters, feeling a lump in my throat. He just sold me to someone I don’t even know.

I thought I was getting married, but he sold me.

“Thank you, Alpha Cassian. Let me know if you need anything,” He adds. I freeze in my step. My legs are almost giving in.

He sold me to the cruelest man to ever exist. Why didn’t I realize this sooner? Cassian Whitehorn? Oh, goddess. I stagger back, my chest rising and falling as I glance at my father, then turn to look at the man I just got married to.

The Alpha King? The man who recently killed his new bride in a fit of rage, driven by the dark secrets that haunted his past.  Everyone knows His terrible deeds in recent years have left a trail of devastation and fear.

The whispers of his cruelty spread like wildfire. He is not a man but a monster. And yet my father wishes me to marry him?  What kind of cruelty is this?  What kind of life awaits me?

The thought of being married to this man makes my heart pound so hard and my hands tremble.

 “Is something wrong?”

“No.” My father is the one to respond. Of course, something is wrong. My father just sold me to you. Everyone knows the kind of man you are. I want to scream those words at him, but my voice gets stuck. I am just some weak and useless omega.

The Alpha King tilts his head, a brow raised, but I quickly school my features. I know better than to ruin this for my father.

“I’m sorry,” I bow my head. I don’t want to risk being hit by him.

“If you don’t mind. Can I have a word with my daughter in private before?” My father asks me. My eyes are on Cassian; I give him a pleading look. I don’t want to be left alone with my father.

Cassian narrows his brows as he stares at me. “No. I don’t have time. You can call her to speak to her,” he dismisses my father and then turns to me.

“Let’s go. I don’t have the entire night,” he growls, then makes his way towards the door.

I swallow hard, glancing at my father, then make my way towards him. I am leaving this god-forsaken pack; I wonder what kind of life I will live where I am going.

The rumors surrounding this man are not pleasant. Growing up, they told us stories about what kind of person he is. For him to travel from where his pack is to come and buy me? ‘

Something is wrong. He wouldn’t have known who I was or if I existed.

I want to ask him if he bought me as a breeder or a wife. But my father has taught me never to question a man, so I keep quiet, following him behind. I glance up at the staircase. I can feel someone watching me, but there’s no one.

I would have loved to say goodbye to my mother, even though it’s been weeks since I last saw her or my little sister Nikki. I stop in my tracks, staring at her room, and tears fill my eyes.

“Sasha,” Cassian calls, and I lower my head. “I’m sorry.”

He grunts and then makes his way toward the car. I guess my new alpha isn’t a man of many words because all he does is growl and grunt

  • The Imperfect Luna   Could We Be More

Sasha“I’m never letting you go.” The words linger in my mind when I finally come to. I am sitting in Cassian’s private chamber, and he is not in bed. The wind blows through the window, and Cassian stands with his back turned to me. He is wearing nothing but his black sweatpants. The room is dimly lit, and my body feels sore, but I smile, thinking of how I spent the day in his arms. How his voice whispered to me that he wasn’t going to let go of me.Can we have more than this? Would he ever feel anything for me other than obligation?I sniffle back, pulling the bed duvet and getting out of bed. I walk towards him; he is staring into nothing. His shoulders slouched. There’s peace about him that makes me stop in my tracks. I shouldn’t disturb him. I bit my lower lip, but decided against it when I got closer to him. “Cassian?” I called, and he immediately turned to me, his eyes trailing down my body to my feet.“You shouldn’t be out here. It’s cold,” he starts coming towards me, and I s

  • The Imperfect Luna   Tested Loyalties

AlaricI shouldn’t want her. She’s everything I shouldn’t want, yet I find myself drawn to her. When I touched her earlier today, it was like coming home. I felt warmth washing over me, and all I wanted to do was to pull her into my arms and take her.‘It’s good you didn’t. Because Cassian will have your head for it’ My wolf, Niall retorts, I smile, bringing a glass of whiskey to my lips. How fucked life can be? Does she know she belongs to us? Does she also feel like me? I close my eyes, basking in the warmth of the sun.“Have you spoken to him?” My Beta Ruston asks, sitting next to me, and I sigh heavily. I never thought the day I would see my friend I would find the one woman I have been looking for all my life standing by my friend, and she was carrying his fucking mark.“Well, from what I hear. She has no wolf. So, how are you certain that she is your—” Rusty pauses when he hears people walking by.“She has a wolf. But it’s weak. I can sense it.” I retort, thinking of earlier. Sh

  • The Imperfect Luna   I Want The Pain In Your Love

Sasha“Good girl.” The words lingered in my mind as I lay flat on his desk. “I want you,” I whispered to him, and he chuckled softly, pulling away from me. “Not now, kitten. Why don’t you get some rest? Your fever is back.”“Cassian,” I tried to touch him, but he wasn’t moving. I still needed him. I wanted him to devour me, make me forget who I am, just this once.“Not today. I am not in my right mind. I might hurt you,” He whispers. I swallow hard, placing my hand on his chest.“If in that pain, there’s any love. Then I want it all. I don’t care if you hurt me. I know you want me just as much as I want you,” I whisper to him. His shoulders are tense. I can hear his breath has hitched.“You can never hurt me. I know that.” I get off the desk, go to stand in front of him. My arms on his chest, “You are my mate. You chose me. You can’t hurt someone you chose to always protect.” His eyes soften, cupping my cheek. “I almost did today. The things in my mind… the dark I want to do to you… I

  • The Imperfect Luna   A Day With The King

Cassian“Cassian,” she whispered, her gaze on me. Gazing at me, like she was trying to come up with an excuse. She tried to take a step back, but I held her at arm’s length, and her heart started racing so fast. “Were you with another man?”“No. Cassian…” she stuttered, tears filling her eyes. Something twisted in me, my heart clenching tight. Guilt? She was feeling guilty, and then her emotions suddenly enveloped me.“You are fucking my friend?” I asked her, my nails digging into her skin, and she shook her head, tears rolling down her cheeks.“I swear nothing happened, Cassian. I tripped when I was waiting by the balcony.”“Waiting for him?” I growled, feeling Bjorn pushing against my chest, and she shook her head, her bottom lip trembling as she tried to touch me.“Please, you are hurting me,” she cried, trying to wiggle out of my grip. “Please. I was waiting for you, but I tripped over a flowerpot. I swear I didn’t cheat,” she explains, her words echoing in the room as I look into

  • The Imperfect Luna   Another Man's Scent

    >>>>>>>>>Sasha“I see our Luna is finally back on her feet,” Alaric whispers behind, startling me as I place a hand on my chest, turning to face him. A smile on his lips, my eyes trail up to his eyes, and they hold my gaze for longer than I would like to.“It seems so.” I shift on my heel, staring out at the yard. My hands were in the pockets of my coat. I feel more at peace, and there’s calmness around me; it envelopes me like a second skin.“That’s good to hear.” He murmurs, then clears his throat. I can’t help but steal glances at him; he has a stubble beard with a straight face and a perfectly chiseled jawline.I shake my head. This is my husband’s friend. I shouldn’t even be staring at him like this yet; every second he is not looking at me, I find myself stealing a glance at him. There’s something about him that brings calmness and a sense of safety whenever I see him.“Are you in town for long?” I finally managed to ask him, trying to shake off the weird flutters in my stomac

It’s been a day since she collapsed, and nothing has changed.Darci convinced me she will be fine, but I am worried she might not come back from this. I moved closer, my hand reaching for her face, but it hovered around her face. This was my fault. I shouldn’t have left her there all by herself. When I saw the security camera of a man trying to touch her. I felt like I could lose my mind. I let her down.I turned around to leave, but she shifted, a whimper leaving her lips. She turns her head left and right. My hand reaches out to try to touch her, but I can’t bring myself to feel her body. I take a step back, and she keeps whimpering. Sweat beads on her face, and she shuts her eyes tight. My wolf screams for me to comfort her, but I feel like if I did or do, I might not let go of her.“Cassian… Cassian…” she whispers.
