Chapter thirteen.

Dante

Her eyes widened, as she pursed her lips. If Luca had been absent in the room, I'd have grabbed her, and kissed her hard.

She'd tasted good when I'd kissed her earlier on. Cristo, this woman was going to be the death of me.

“What trip are you talking about, Dante? Are you sending me away?” She snapped, and crossed her arms. At that moment, she looked like a whiny child whose candy had been grabbed from her mouth.

I scoffed, and walked towards her slowly. Luca was still standing to the side.

“Is the jet ready?” I asked him in Italian. He took that as his cue to leave. Once we were alone, my gaze turned feral. She swallowed, but didn't avert her gaze.

“What are you trying to do, Dante?” She asked calmly. So calm that if didn't know her- or think I know her, I'd have believed she was unaffected by what I'd told her.

But I knew that beneath that calm facade, she was figuring out millions of ways to convince me. None of which was going to work,
