Chapter Six

My mum offer Mr Luke to sit as he brought out some other papers.

"These are for you to sign" he said to me handing me the other sheet as I went through it.

"Now the rest is knowing some of the rules which are not mentioned on the sheet" he said.

First he told me that I was not to criticize any other girl aloud nor harm another,and re told me there will b challenges put out for us to do he said I should read the sheet to get more clarification.

I opened the file and flip through the pages as I read it. First it said we were not to speak to the king unless spoken to, am not allowed to wonder around, we are not allowed to get too close to other male, I was are not to touch the king. I rolled my eyes as I read that, who put such as rule. Like I will touch the old grumpy king on my own will and finally you are not to take any lady as your bestfriend and the first week there will be no task cause we are to settle in.By the end he told me that he would come on Monday to pick me since the other girls were already settled in . To so I was flaggerbasted about the turn out of the event was an understatment, I will be staying in the castle,getting delicious food, wearing all those heavy dress and ball gown. Wow, I stood up and escorted Mr Luke out as I closed the door.

I faced my mum who had a sheepish smile on her face and then she squeal racing toward me and hugging me while I close my ears to block out her screaming.

"Mum you are going to crush my bones" I told my mum as she let go off me.

"Baby you are going!!you are going" she squeal jumping up and down like she was the one going.

I rolled my eyes snicker " mum am the one going not you, I should be the one with all this ethuatism" I grumbled.

She hissed" since you are not showing your happiness, am helping you to show it" she said as stood up and stated searching.

I raised my eyebrow at her as she move about" mum? What are you doing"

She turned to me"am looking for my purse I need to go check on the seamstress,she need to complete the dress faster" she said as she continue searching frantically for the purse that was right in front of her on the table. I laughed out loud which cause her to stop, turning to me with a scowl on her face.

"Mum your purse is right over the table looking at you, your over hyper is making you go blind" I said as I continue laughing clutching on my stomach.

She looked at the table, on see the purse she rolled her eyes and walk to were I was smacking my head.

"Oww! What is that for?" I ask rubbing my head with a pout on my face as I stare at her.

" Come on don't give me that look, couldn't you have told me sooner? Instead you used me as your amusement, that what you get for making fun of me" she said trying to look angry but failed miserably as a smile display on her face.

" Is it my fault you decided to go blind?"I ask still rubbing my head.

She rolled her eyes at me as she pick up her purse" you know what? Am not going to argue with you, I need to go checkout the lovely dress" with that being said she head out slamming the door with force while I rolled my eyes at her childishness.

I skip around as I dance around the house cleaning it since I felt like doing so.

I sat down after sometime thinking about what the castle would look like. It is a good thing that we are not to touch the king or speak to him. So I can be invisible for the time I will spend there before being evicted, i just hope he doesn't notice me and he shouldn't be an old pervert. I just wish I never get to see him through out my stay there, who knows what task they have install for us and would I be welcome by the girls since am a replacement.

I sigh through my thought as I got up heading to the kitchen to prepare dinner before my mum get back. Since my mum cooks alot some people would have been wandering if I do know how to cook, but yes I do, since my mum taught me about cooking once I got to the age of ten and three. I took out the ingredients as I set out to cook dancing and humming as I did.

I was done already with the cooking just arranging the kitchen while I wait for my mum, who knows were she went to. Heaven knows that, that woman can talk,as I was remenicing over my thought I heard the door open. I went out to check if it was my mum." Hey mum you are back? What took you so long?" I ask as she grinned at me.

" Oh dear after I saw the seamstress, I saw one of my customers on my way back and we started talking forgetting about the time, darling I never knew she was that nice, she took me to her shop and we catch up on each other" as she was rambling I rolled my eyes. Told you so, this woman is a talkative.

" Mum it ok, I prepared dinner it already getting cold, come let me set it out so we can eat. I said as she went upstairs grumbling about how she needs to take a shower that she is all sweety. Like whose fault is it.

I set out the table and sat down, waiting for my mum so we could start eating.

She came down and sat down, digging through the food while I joined her.

" So dear how do you feel about going to the palace" she ask with her mouth full.

I shrug as I continue eating not expecting her to smack my harm.

"Don't shrug at me young lady, answer my question with words "

I rolled my eyes and swallowed the food " You don't have to hit me mum. But I guess I feel kind of over whelmed about it, what will they think about me, since am kind off a replacement for the lady who fucked up" I muttered dejectedly.

My mum took my hands and gave it a light squeeze " You are going to do just fine, you are a 'Moore' remember" I nodded as we continue eating in silence.
