I met Erik in the lobby and explained what was happening, he was rather shocked but once I explained the trial part he was all for it. We start to make our way down the halls and towards the basement, where the the entrance to the dungeons were located.
As we start to walk down the halls I spot crowds of people gathered outside the gates, they all wore black with most of them holding flowers in their hands.
"People have been arriving since the news broke, they've been laying flowers for the former Queen" Erik explains noticing I was looking, I just smile at the thought of all the love that Lizzy was receiving.
Once I make to the basement my usual guards stood by the door, but a new one catches my eye and nearly make tears build up in my eyes. Stood there was the man that found
We continue on our journey up to where her funeral is being held, people start to notice Preston as you hear a series of gasp and whispering. It's better to get all the gasps out out the way today and not next week, Erik and I didn't go through months of paperwork and hearing horrible stories for him to get away with it, as people are shocked to see him alive. Gray's face doesn't change as we continue on our journey and arrive at hill but with steps to get to the top, when we reach the top is where I see the white coffin stood and have to gulp the feeling of crying down.Preston didn't gulp his feelings down and ended up breaking down beside me, I turn to look at him where he was just kneeling on the floor crying. I then turn to Gray who just looks at him with a face of disgust, I guess he isn't going to help move him to his seat. I look at some guards in suits, they seem to get what I was trying to say and two of
It's been a few days since Lizzy's funeral, Preston has been all anyone is talking about recently. You would think they would be more interested in the fact that everyone thought he was dead, but then suddenly appeared at his mates funeral but no. According to Erik all they could talk about was him confessing to killing Matilda, most people didn't even know that they had another child, they all assumed it was only Gray.Talking of Gray he's been so stressed out, if you remember back when Rupert attacked the castle, the officials blamed Daisy for enabling the attack. They're full force going at Daisy due to Rupert not being around anymore, they still want to hold someone accountable and Daisy's the only one they can. Her trials set for tomorrow, they wanted to get her trial out of the way before Preston's much harder trial comes along. Now you're probably thinking, Clara but didn't you and Erik fire those officials
Today was the day of Daisy's trial, I've been kept out of the loop with Daisy due to Preston, so I really wasn't sure how this was going to go. But I had faith in Gray and Josh, at the end of the day we'll know if she can walk free and I can give her a hug, or if she needs to be sent to jail.It just sucks that the trial is about the attack on me, yet I can't talk and give my side of the story to help her. I know exactly what happened and exactly what she was trying to tell me but for some reason, I'm not allowed to give evidence. Some of these rules I need to follow are just plain weird.Gray once again, wasn't there when I woke up and left me another note. He wanted to have a quick meeting with Josh and Daisy before, for obvious reason I couldn't join him. I have to meet him outside the courthouse, which I have no idea where it is. Luckily, Er
After a little run around outside, I walk back into court extremely calm and collected. Gray and I shifted and ran through the surrounding woods, it felt so good to finally feel like me again and another great thing! After I shifted back into my human form my arms were completely healed, it really doesn't get better than that!As I take my seat once again I spot Josh and Daisy having a conversation, she looked beyond worried with Josh trying to calm her down. Due to my wolf, I didn't hear the last part of the trial, so I was clueless on how it actually went. The jury make their way back in which causes everyone to get back in their seats, well apart from me I was already in my seat. Gray takes his while also taking my hand, he was also super nervous about this all too, no one knew if they did enough to prove her innocence. One of the jury member
Erik and I sat in the room for a while, at first all we could hear was the commotion outside with Gray but now, it was weirdly quiet. At the time I think I still had a little of my wolfs Queen mode on, but now I've settled down a little I'm starting to regret allowing Gray to attack them. Yes I know they tried to hurt me and it's so lucky that Gray was there, but he could have just knocked them out and allow guards to come. That would have been the more appropriate way of handling the situation, especially, with the court case going on right now.The jury were still deliberating which I was more nervous about, I hope I said enough for them to see that Daisy would never wish to harm anyone. Erik told me he didn't know I had that side of me and if I'm honest, I had no idea I had that side of me either. I knew I had a tougher side to me due to me using it before, but I didn't know I could be that heartless when the o
I arrive home in no time, I head straight to the bedroom where I lock the door behind me. I needed to be left alone for a while to try and process what just happened, if that was even remotely possible to do. I begin to pace the room, I was trying to come up with an explanation but I found none! Why would Erik do something like that? The dude was literally just trying to tell me about his brother, who apparently worked with me at the beginning. This causes me to rack my brain to try and remember anybody who doesn't work for me anymore, I mean there's been a ton of guards who have worked with me for awhile, could one of those men be the one he was talking about? I just don't know! The door handle moving is what breaks me from my pacing thoughts, once the person realises the door is indeed locked, they begin to knock."My love, open the door" Gray
I was sitting on the sofa of my parents safe house, my mum had me change out of my wet clothes and into something warmer before I caught a cold. I explained everything that happened and they were kind of shocked, my mother held my hand as I explained the whole thing."You can stay here as long as you like" she smiles squeezing my hand as she spoke "you're the reason we get to live like this, finally away from that monster" she continues, I knew she was talking about Cyrus."He's also getting released after the trial, don't worry he's going to be closely watched and will never get anywhere near you" I say looking at both of them, my dad just smiles coming to sit beside me."It's okay Clara, all we want to is to have some sort of
It was the next morning, the day of Preston's trial. I thought going into this I would be more nervous, but I actually wasn't. We had Cyrus and my dad for starters, we have down some intense research on him and he even confessed! We knew for definite that he'd get some time for Matilda and we have so much evidence on all the other crimes, this is gonna be a clean sweep!I got dressed into my most sophisticated outfit but also, not too sophisticated. I knew this was my last day staying here with my parents, they were being moved into a different house after the trial. One because this is just a safe house and is not made for constant living and second, Cyrus came here yesterday so they wouldn't be safe away from him, even though I'm having guards watch his every move.I walk down the stairs that opened to the living room, my mother was tying my d
