Right Thinking

I woke up to the sun streaming through the windows, the curtains were open which caused the whole room to be bright. I glance down to see Gray still asleep on my chest, well that's a first he's normally awake before me. This gave me the opportunity to think about what he told me last night, I knew from the stories I heard before that his father was a horrible individual. But I would have never thought he would take his own daughters life, just because she was going to be next in line for the throne. I can't even imagine what was going through that little girls head, the man that's supposed to protect you from all the "monsters" is the one that actually hurt you. As I told Gray, she's in a better place now with her mother away from from that monster. It must have been so hard for Gray, losing both his sister and his mother in ten years at such a young age, it just shows what a strong person he is.
