Chapter 18
I woke wrapped in what felt like a blanket of heat almost suffocating me. Heavy limbs were wrapped around my legs and an arm draped over my torso.
Tingling lingered under the surface of my skin where my body touched with that of Alexander. The source of the heat was not coming from him though, it was coming from inside me. Starting in the pit of my stomach and radiating around my body like fire running through my veins.
Desperate for the toilet, I try my best to untangle myself from his embrace, only to be pulled in closer into his chest, which did nothing to help the heat flooding my system.
Finally disentangling myself from Alexanders embrace I move to find the chamber pot, only to catch myself when my head burst with pain and my legs began to give way beneath me.

With the residual thoughts of what would become of the future Black family lingering in my mind, the rest of the day went by in a dreary haze. The fact of the matter was I had no idea what would happen to the Black family. When Granny Lou told me the story of the Last Alpha King, she never specified who his Queen was.
