Munich, 1456

The cottage was dark inside and deserted. Alger thought he had heard a noise as he ran away quickly with a necklace on his neck, his brown eyes filling with anticipation as he wondered if his agreement with Adele had been breached. As he approached the only church in his village, the Reverend's dying words echoed in his mind. If he didn't act as quickly as possible, he would have himself to blame when the full moon rise the next day. Alger smirked as he thought about his wife and children. He had been awake the previous night when he told his three children about the power of the necklace, but sleep was the last thing his body desired at the moment.
