"I...don't... I don't... remember anything...." I stammered as I gripped my head, the throbbing pain in my head was already getting worse. "I don't even remember my name." Tears slid down my dirt stained face, the pain from the headache and the fear of my situation only made it more difficult to stop crying. "Hey!" His soft, yet hard eyes locked with mine as he touched my shoulder gently. "I am here for you." His words was oddly reassuringly, even if I don't know who he is, I felt comfortable in his presence. It was one of the things I never bothered to change about myself despite the trainings I had , I'd always sleep deeply at the end of each day to get maximum rest. But today it's wasn't like that. The smell of smoke pierced my lungs and my eyes snapped open. "Fire' I whispered to no one in particular.
Running to the window I saw it, at a window four stories high no one could miss it. Dead bodies lined the streets , a couple of houses I could identify were on fire ,the orphanage, and the church were no exceptions.Yellow flames with black smoke that clouded up to the sky, it was the type of fire that could only stop when it died down on its own.At first, I didn't hear any screams only the crackle of the fire so I was not sure if the occupants of those buildings had been killed before the fire was started or they were already dead and I didn't know due to the deep sleep I was in. I craned my neck to check on the hospital but I couldn't see from hereThen there was a loud explosion from downstairs. The door was blown open contradicting the method used to kill more than half the people in this pack. I grabbed my small knife and tied it to my thigh covering it up with the nightgown I wore.I snuck downstairs and held my breath as I navigated through our house in the dark. I was pretty small so it wasn't hard for me to do it undetected, plus I wore a black night gown and not the pale blue or pink colored one other girls my age wore.I made it to my father's study and saw a trail of blood as if someone dragged somebody along the floor while he or she was bleeding. Tiptoeing to the shelf, I remembered that my father kept a weapon in here, in one of the books on the shelf. I ran my hands over the book, picked up the third one and opened it. Nestled inside it was a gun, the pages of the book had been cut out to make sure the gun was comfortable in it without bulging or drawing attention to the book.Picking it up, loading it and cocking it was easy as it was what I had spent most afternoons doing at the training field. I took in a shaky breathe because I knew all this was nothing but a facade and the moment I saw my parents I would slip." Anything to keep my Dad and Mom safe" I muttered.I followed the trail of blood and saw it led to the living room. The funny thing about the blood was that it didn't fade or anything like that, instead it got thicker .I stood at the entrance, hiding behind the coat stand and for once in my life I was grateful to papa for leaving his coat there from earlier on and to mama for not nagging him for it."I'm here now and I'm here to collect" I heard a male voice say, I looked into the room just in time to find a man who was holding a pretty big machete. I shuddered at the size and wondered what type of barbarian still carried around a machete when guns were now a thing. My loving father was on his knees his hands tied behind his back and so was my mother but she was lying on her side instead. There was an ever growing spot of blood on papa night shirt and mama was lying in a pool of blood.Changing angles I see that the blood actually belong to papa and that his face was getting pale by the minute."Go to hell you devil's son" Dad groaned out and the man whose face I can't still recognize, grabbed Dad's head and smashed it into the floor. My father cried out in pain and the minute his head was raised I could see his nose was broken. I pointed the gun at the back of this strange man's head and tried my best to still my shaking hand, suddenly, he turns his head in my direction. He leaned forward and I could finally see his face. He was looking straight at me with menace in his eyes."Oh wow look who it is, my soon to be pet. I smelled your fear ever since you've been standing there. Come on out Natasha, take a shot and do your best." he cajoled me.I'm shocked that he knows my name, I do as he says and he blocks his body with Dad's own my bullet going under papa's rib. I drop the gun and run to my father's side in a frenzy apologizing for hitting him again and again."Natasha, Daddy loves you" he says again and again and I nod and apologize. I look back to see my mom coming out of her unconsciousness."Mom!" I cry out. Panic enveloping my whole body."Natasha, run away, leave here this minute" She shouts at me straining her body as if to reach me and push me away, which I'm sure she would have done if her hands weren't tied behind her back. I don't know the moment my Dad died because when I pull him close again he's lifeless.I scream out loud and clutch him to my chest. His body gets torn away from my arms and I try to get him back when I'm held down by two different people."Before you father decides to pull a magic stunt, let's make sure he's really dead shall we?" he says and I don't understand until this man has his machete up in the air. I let out a howl like scream but he ignores me and delivers the first strike. Blood sprays like it's let out of a faucet drenching this evil man and I in the blood of my father. The blood spray doesn't reach my mother who looked like she still wasn't aware of her surroundings. He sighs satisfactorily and wipes the blood on his face creating a smear and making him look more like the monster that he is. He bends down again and hacks off my father's right thumb, dips it in blood that pools at his feet from the gash at my father's neck and snaps his hand to no one in particular.Well someone, because a guy dressed in a black suit walks up to him with a briefcase and opens it up. He brings out a document, he sniffs it, then presents it to the man who stamps it with my father's blood drenched thumb. Looking satisfied he flings my father's thumb away and then proceeds to separate my father's head and calls in his minions to take the pieces away. They call him Alpha Lucien and finally this monster has a name. My throat has gone numb and all I can do is watch as my father's remains are taken away."Next up, the mother" he says and I lunge for him catching him off guard and dragging him by his collar to the floor. He drags me by my hair and holds me at arm's length , he sneers at me before giving me a resounding slap. My mother cries out and tries to move closer , swimming in the pool of her husband's blood."I shouldn't kill her?" he says and I nod frantically."Take me instead" I cry out and he laughs cruelly."Oh I have alot of plans for you, too much to change because of your unimportant mother" he says and I cry out more begging him again and again and telling him I'll do anything. He motions to two of his accomplices to drag my mother away."Take her out of here and transport her to the dungeons. " he instructs and immediately, they do him bidding."You, little pet, will ride with me in the car" he says still holding my hair. He drags me with it and I see two fancy cars parked in front of my once peaceful home."Get in " he ordered his voice ice cold. I don't wait for him to repeat himself, I scrambled into the car and scoot as much as I can away from him.I see my mother get thrown into the boot of the car in front. I cry silently watching the burning houses and the dead bodies and as the car I'm in goes swiftly past them, I remember what was once our happy family."I told you to clean up the dishes yester night before bed" my mom shouts at me and I can hear the heavy foot falls of my father as he comes down the stairs"What have I told you about disobeying your mother? " he calls out as he gets closer and I can see my mother smirk.I roll my eyes at her and pout at my father. My father never got angry but once he did, it wasn't pretty. He finally gets downstairs and laughs when he sees my expression."So was that a good impression of an angry husband or what?" he asks my mom and I run to him hugging him."You have spoilt her rotten" my mother says before laughing"Of course that was a good impression, it's not too late to make a career out of it" she adds and my father lets out a hearty laugh."Still you have to apologize to your mother for flouting her rules." father says and I sigh."Sorry mom." I say and she nods"As long as you don't do it again" she says and I nod knowing fully well that I'll do it again and she'll have nothing to say because my father always backs me up.I place my hands in my laps and feel the knife I strapped there before I came downstairs, I do my best to pretend like it's not there and pray to the Moon Goddess that I'll be able to take it in with me , where ever I might be going. I don't have to wait for very long because soon the car stops in front a huge gate and after honking twice the gates open to reveal a very beautiful and expensive looking mansion three times the size of our house."Welcome to your new hell" he says watching my face and I shudder at the evil that glints in his eye.We both stand panting in the middle of the forest, surrounded by broken trees and torn-up road. The air is charged with tension, and it's clear that neither of us is backing down. "You're a strong old man," I say, my voice tight. Raphael laughs, but there's a hint of bitterness in his laugh. "And you're a persistent young fella," he says. I can tell that he's getting tired, but so am I. This battle could go on for hours, and I'm not sure how much longer I can last.Raphael launches at me, his fist colliding with my face. I fly backwards, crashing into a tree. I try to stand up, but my body feels heavy and sluggish. My vision is blurry, and I can barely make out Raphael's figure through the haze. He walks towards me, his face cold and expressionless. I know he's about to deliver the final blow, and I can't do anything to stop him.As I stand there, resigned to my fate, I hear a voice calling my name. I try to focus, but my vision is still blurry. Then, I hear it again, and I realize it
I'm chasing the convoy of cars, and I manage to catch up to the last car in the line. I slash at the tires with my claws, and the car tumbles over onto its side. Five werewolves jump out, snarling and growling, their eyes glowing red with rage. They leap towards me, ready to fight. I stand my ground, ready to face them.As the werewolves charge towards me, I leap into action. I meet the first werewolf head-on, blocking its claws with my own. We clash together, our claws and teeth tearing at each other, snarling and snapping. I feel the other werewolves closing in, and I know I have to act fast. I twist away from the first werewolf, kicking it in the chest as I spin. I duck under the claws of the second werewolf, landing a punch to its gut. The third werewolf leaps at me, but I grab it by the throat and toss it aside. The fourth werewolf swipes at me with its claws, and I feel the skin on my arm tear. But I ignore the pain, focusing on my opponent. I grab the werewolf's arm and twist i
I try to push myself to my feet, but it's like my body has given up on me. I feel like I'm going to pass out, but then I feel a warm touch on my shoulders. "Lucien," a familiar voice says. I look up, and I see Natasha, standing over me. I'm surprised to see her here, but I'm also relieved. "What are you doing here?" I ask. "I can't just stay home while everyone else is fighting," she says, her eyes determined. "This is my mess too." Natasha helps me to my feet, and I feel a little better. Then she takes out a knife and slits her wrist, offering me the blood that flows from the wound. I know that drinking her blood will make me stronger, so I take a drop. But as soon as I do, the strength rushes through me so fast that I lose my balance and crash into the stone floor of the temple. It's a jarring blow, but I feel my strength returning. I look up at Natasha, and I see a determined look on her face. "We have to stop them," she says. Before I can even get to my feet, I'm kicked in the sid
After our first clash, Arturo raises his hands, his fingers glowing with power. He shouts "Let thunder be my guide!" and a bolt of lightning descends from the sky, heading straight for me. I leap out of the way just in time, the lightning striking the ground where I was standing a moment ago. I pounce on Arturo, my claws tearing into his chest. He staggers back, but then he laughs. "You're fast," he says, his eyes glittering. "But let's see if you can keep it up and if that was not a fluke."Arturo's power is incredible, his spells strong and fast. But my current strength is a match for him. I leap and dodge, the trees around us cracking and falling as our battle rages on. Leaves and twigs fly through the air, and the earth shudders with every blow we land. It's a fierce and deadly dance, and I can feel my strength waning. But I won't give up, not until the battle is won.I lunge at Arturo, aiming to take him down, but he's faster than I thought. He sidesteps my attack, and then his h
There's a shortcut to the temple, and I know it like the back of my hand. It's a winding path that few know about, and it's shrouded in mystery. As we run, our speed increases, until we're moving at the maximum speed that a werewolf can travel. The air rushes past us, and I feel like I could run forever. But there's no time for that now. We need to reach the temple before Aurora does. We're stopped in our tracks by a huge crack in the earth. It's as if an earthquake has split the land in two. I'm about to jump across when Sam appears, teleporting in a flash of light. "This is the advantage of being a witch," he says, a smug grin on his face. "I can just teleport across." I feel a surge of annoyance, but I know he's right. I grin, and I leap into the air with all the strength I have. I feel the wind rushing past me, and for a moment, I feel weightless. Then I land on the other side, my feet hitting the ground with a thud. Jacob is still on the other side, looking at me in disbelief.
“All I know is a Sarvic’s blood is enough to boost the spiritual power of any being and it’ll be extremely helpful in boosting the individual’s ability” mother said and in the twinkle of an eye, before I can even react Lucien slits my wrist open and there’s a cup in his hand, he takes my blood. As if that’s not enough he dashes at Jacob and forces a few drops into his mouth. He takes some for himself before stretching the rest to Sam, “drink up” a diabolical tone in his voice. Lucien’s too scary for me to actually believe he’s lovable.I hold my wrist, the pain searing through my body. My eyes are full of fury as I glare at Lucien. "Why did you do that?" I demand. "Why did you slit my wrist so that you could taste my blood?" Lucien stands before me, and he is the picture of calm. He seems unfazed by my anger, and it only fuels my rage. "Your blood is special, Natasha, according to your mother," he says. "It's powerful. I think I might need it for my plan to work." His words send a chi
